What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: 1,000 Delight Points — 500 on card activation and 500 more on a first transaction of ₹2,000 or more within 30 days of activation, worth ₹250 together
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #403
Why #403 The second LIC co-brand and the weaker one: three Delight Points per ₹100 against Eclat's four, on the same free fee schedule, the same ₹99-a-redemption toll and the same RuPay rails — but without Eclat's lounge line and with ₹2 lakh of accident cover instead of ₹10 lakh. 0.75% free is still the middle of IDBI's shelf, which is where it sits.
A Delight Point is ₹0.25, and on this card and its Eclat sibling — and on no other IDBI variant — every redemption costs ₹99. IDBI's minimum first redemption is 1,000 points, so the smallest burn you can make turns ₹250 into ₹151, a 40% haircut; batch 10,000 points and the fee costs you 4%. `earn.base` is left at the undiscounted ₹0.25 because the toll is a function of how big a lot you cash out, not of the card. Never redeem in small lots.
The take
Lumine is the junior of IDBI's two LIC Cards Services co-brands, and it is priced exactly where that suggests. Three Delight Points per ₹100 at IDBI's own 25 paise a point is 0.75% — better than Aspire and Imperium at 0.33%, level with Royale Signature, and a quarter behind Eclat's 1.00%. It costs nothing to take out and nothing to keep: joining, annual and renewal all read NIL in the MITC, on the primary and the add-on. Then the catch, and it is the same one Eclat carries: every redemption on the two LIC cards costs ₹99, where IDBI's other five variants charge nothing. IDBI's minimum redemption is 1,000 points, so the smallest burn available turns ₹250 of points into ₹151 — hoard, do not trickle. Two more things separate this from Eclat and both go the wrong way. The accident cover is ₹2 lakh here against Eclat's ₹10 lakh. And Eclat's page carries an airport-lounge paragraph — unquantified, RuPay-provided, but present — where Lumine's carries none at all, so this card clears no travel gate on lounge access. It also revolves at 3.40% a month, 40.80% a year, the worst rate on IDBI's shelf alongside Eclat and Winnings, and closing inside a year costs ₹999. Take it if LIC is your route in and Eclat is not offered; otherwise take Eclat.

The downgrade
IDBI Bank / LIC Cards Services publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 3 Delight Points per ₹100 — 0.75%, double the Aspire and Imperium rate on the same shelf
- Lifetime free: joining, annual and renewal all read NIL in IDBI's MITC, on the primary and the add-on
- 1,000 welcome Delight Points, plus 1,000 at ₹1 lakh and 1,500 at ₹2 lakh of net annual spend
- Personal accidental death cover of ₹2 lakh, plus a credit shield covering the outstanding balance
- 1% fuel-surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹4,000 transactions, capped at ₹300 a month
Watch out
- Every redemption costs ₹99 — on this card and Eclat only. At the 1,000-point minimum that is a 40% haircut; batch your burns
- Eclat, the sibling co-brand, earns 4 Delight Points per ₹100 on the same free fee schedule — 1.00% against this card's 0.75%
- No lounge access is claimed on this card at all, where Eclat's page carries a RuPay lounge paragraph
- Accident cover is ₹2 lakh here against Eclat's ₹10 lakh
- Revolves at 3.40% a month — 40.80% a year, the worst on IDBI's shelf — and closing within a year of issuance costs ₹999
- Forex is 3.5%, and Delight Points reach no airline or hotel partner
- Delight Points expire three years from the date of issuance, and 1,000 is the minimum redemption
- IDBI's own Lumine page is copy-pasted from Eclat's — its earn sentence says 'using your Eclat Credit Card' and its fuel and acceptance paragraphs name the 'Eclat Select Card'. The card-specific NUMBERS on the page do differ from Eclat's (3 points not 4, ₹2 lakh cover not ₹10 lakh, ₹300 fuel cap not ₹500, ₹2,000 welcome trigger not ₹5,000), which is why they are shipped — but the page is not carefully maintained
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes IDBI Delight Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the milestones?
not published — and we say which
₹1,00,000 a year is the bar for the first milestone. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. IDBI Bank / LIC Cards Services states what the IDBI Bank LIC Lumine earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the milestones — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Lifetime free — the MITC reads "LIC - Lumine | NIL | NIL | NIL | NIL" and the product page's table reads the same three Nils. Earn is 3 Delight Points per ₹100 = 0.75% at IDBI Delight's ₹0.25, against the Eclat sibling's 4 per ₹100 = 1.00%. Welcome 500 points on activation plus 500 on a first transaction of ₹2,000 or more within 30 days; milestones 1,000 at ₹1 lakh and 1,500 at ₹2 lakh. Personal accidental death cover ₹2 lakh plus a credit shield, against Eclat's ₹10 lakh. Fuel-surcharge waiver 1% on ₹400–₹4,000, capped ₹300 a month, against Eclat's ₹400–₹5,000 capped ₹500. Closing within a year of issuance costs ₹999. NO LOUNGE ACCESS IS CLAIMED — the Eclat page carries a RuPay lounge paragraph and this one carries none. RuPay. IDBI'S OWN LUMINE PAGE IS COPY-PASTED FROM ECLAT'S: its earn sentence reads "using your Eclat Credit Card" and its fuel and acceptance paragraphs name the "Eclat Select Card". Every NUMBER on it nonetheless differs from Eclat's, which is why the figures are shipped as this card's own. Sourced through LIC rather than IDBI's online funnel — the hub lists Lumine and Eclat with a "Know More" link and no "Apply Now".
