IDBI sets one ₹20 redemption fee on every credit card

IDBI's re-issued credit-card Key Fact Statement (file dated 3 September 2026; it prints no effective date) replaces its split redemption-fee line with one row for every variant: ₹20 per occasion for redeeming 1,000 to 4,000 Delight Points as cashback. Before, five IDBI cards paid nothing to redeem and the two LIC co-brands, Eclat Select and Lumine, paid ₹99 a redemption; the MITC re-issued on 23 October 2026 prints the same new row. At IDBI's 1,000-point minimum, worth ₹250 at 25 paise a point, the fee takes 8%; at 4,000 points it takes 2%, and the sheet names no fee above that. IDBI's product pages still print Nil, or ₹99 on the LIC cards; the fee table is the document of record.

IDBI Bank has rewritten one line of its credit-card fee table, and it lands differently depending on which card you hold. The re-issued Key Fact Statement (file dated 3 September 2026) and the MITC re-issued on 23 October 2026 both print a single Reward Redemption Fee row for every variant: ₹20 per occasion for a redemption of 1,000 to 4,000 Delight Points as cashback. Neither document prints an effective date for it. All figures are before GST.

CardOld Key Fact StatementNow
Aspire Platinum, Imperium Platinum, Royale Signature, Euphoria World, WinningsNil₹20 a cashback redemption of 1,000–4,000 points
LIC Eclat Select, LIC Lumine₹99 a redemption₹20 a cashback redemption of 1,000–4,000 points

For five cards this is a new toll. A Delight Point is worth 25 paise, and IDBI’s minimum redemption is 1,000 points, so the smallest cash-out is ₹250 and ₹20 of it now goes back to the bank: 8%. At 4,000 points it is 2%, and the sheet names no fee above 4,000. Batch your burns.

For the two LIC co-brands it is a cut. Eclat and Lumine used to pay ₹99 on every redemption, which turned a minimum ₹250 cash-out into ₹151. Under the new row the same burn nets ₹230.

The product pages have not caught up. IDBI’s own card pages still print a Nil redemption fee on Aspire, Imperium, Royale, Euphoria and Winnings, and ₹99 on Eclat and Lumine. We ship the fee table: the Key Fact Statement and the MITC are the regulatory disclosures, and they now agree with each other.

The same Key Fact Statement adds three cards IDBI has not launched yet (Opulence, Apex and SmartPay); the MITC says they “will be launched shortly”. They are on our radar, not on the board.
