HDFC Bank Woman's Gold

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until HDFC Bank publishes terms we can cite.

2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #846
Why #846 HDFC's women's-segment card before Solitaire was, and the one whose numbers HDFC managed never to print: no fee in any surviving schedule, no price on the point. Carried for the holders who still have it — the bank's own 15 May 2026 rewards revision still lists it — and carried unpriced, because two of the three numbers that would rank it do not exist.
The take
Woman's Gold is the card HDFC pointed at women before Solitaire took the segment, and its page is worth keeping for a reason that has nothing to do with rewards: it is a small monument to how quickly a loyalty promise ages. The 2012 product page told holders they could turn their points into air miles on Jet Airways, Air India and Kingfisher Airlines. Two of those three airlines are gone. HDFC never published a conversion ratio for any of them, has never published a redemption value for this card's points since, and its current MITC rules out the cashback exit it prices for other variants by listing the eligible products and saying flatly that no others qualify. So nothing this card earns is valued here — not because the desk did not look, but because three HDFC documents describe the card and none of them contains a number you could redeem against. The fee is the same story: the schedule of charges built for this card carries thirteen line items and no membership fee, and the 2010 MITC that prices its siblings groups Woman's Gold into the WAIVER row while naming only Gold and Business Gold in the FEE row. What is real and sourced: add-on cards free for life, up to 50 interest-free days, a 3.5% cross-currency mark-up, ₹75 every time you redeem, and a 2.5% petrol transaction charge the card levies unless the holder paid ₹99 for the old MyCity petrol add-on. It is still on HDFC's books — the bank's 15 May 2026 rewards revision lists it — and it is not on HDFC's website.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade
HDFC Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Add-on cards free for life, up to three of them
- Up to 50 interest-free days from the date of purchase
- Still on HDFC's books: the bank's 15 May 2026 rewards revision carries a Woman's Gold row
- MyCity add-ons could bolt on a lifetime petrol surcharge waiver, or a rebate on utility bill payments, at ₹99 each
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — HDFC's live site returns 404 for the Woman's Gold product URL and the card has no row in the August 2026 Key Fact Statement; existing holders are still serviced
- No HDFC document states this card's membership fee — its own schedule of charges has no fee row, and the 2010 MITC names only Gold and Business Gold in the fee cell it shares
- HDFC publishes no redemption value for the points, and its MITC's cashback clause excludes the card by name
- The airline conversions the product page advertised were Jet Airways, Air India and Kingfisher — two of the three no longer fly
- Accrual is capped at 15,000 Reward Points in a statement cycle, under the group HDFC's fair-usage table calls "gold"
- The card CHARGES a 2.5% petrol transaction fee (minimum ₹10) unless the separate MyCity Petrol benefit was bought
- ₹75 per redemption request, and a 3.5% cross-currency mark-up abroad
- Revolving credit is 3.25% a month — 39% a year — from the transaction date
What these points actually fly
HDFC Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot. The product URL on HDFC's live host returns 404, the card has no row in the bank's August 2026 Key Fact Statement, and there is no application funnel. Existing holders keep it: HDFC's 15 May 2026 rewards revision still lists Woman's Gold in the accrual table it was revising, which is the bank confirming in 2026 that the plastic is live.
HDFC Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 1 Sept 2026SmartBuy moves Amazon Pay gift cards to 1X under Insta DealsAmazon Pay Gift Voucher sat in SmartBuy's accelerated tier — 'up to 5X Reward Points or 5% cashback' → 'Insta Deals: 1 % Instant Discount + 1X Reward Points' — this brand is out of the accelerated tier
The most-farmed HDFC voucher route stopped being a points play. SmartBuy's own voucher storefront now shows the Amazon Pay Gift Voucher under a new "Insta Deals" tile reading "1 % Instant Discount + 1X Reward Points", and the page's own description flipped from "up to 5X Reward Points or 5% cashback" to "up to 1X". The comparison that settles it sits on the same storefront: the Amazon Fresh voucher still carries an "Accelerated Rewards — Upto 5X Reward Points RPs / 5% Cashback" block that the Amazon Pay page no longer has, so this is one brand leaving the accelerated tier, not the tier closing. The date, honestly: the Insta Deals offer ("Flat 1% OFF", ₹10,000 monthly limit) was already live in the page's own data on 31 August 2026, the reward line still read 5X in the 1 September 16:26 UTC archive capture, and read 1X when this desk fetched the page on 2 September — so 1 September is the community's effective date sitting inside a window we can bracket from primary captures, not a figure HDFC published. The bank has announced nothing and no SmartBuy page carries a notice. Two pieces of context for the size of it: brand vouchers were already sub-capped at 3,000 accelerated points a month from 1 July 2026, and Amazon Pay vouchers disappeared from the portal entirely for stretches of July and August before returning in this shape. Flipkart and Amazon Fresh vouchers still pay the accelerated rate; the ₹10,000-a-month Amazon Pay lane now pays base earn plus the 1% instant discount.
