What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Citibank publishes terms we can cite.

Why #808 The fleet-shaped half of Citi's IndianOil co-brand — a fuel card sold to companies, carried and not ranked. It is here because its points still come out at a pump, which is a live obligation rather than a historical note.

The take

Citi issued exactly two business cards in India and this was the fuel one: a company card aimed at whoever was paying for the tank. It migrated with everything else — Citi's Indian business went to Axis Bank, every card relationship completed on 15 July 2024, and the Citi-branded plastic has run the INDIANOIL AXIS BANK PREMIUM's terms since. So the rate and the fee belong to that card's page, which this board already ranks. What makes this page worth a business's attention rather than a historian's is that the exit still works and it is not a catalogue. Turbo points converted flat, at 1 Turbo Point = 1 EDGE Mile, and the resulting EDGE Miles come back out as free fuel at IOCL outlets at ₹1 a mile, or convert into IndianOil XTRAREWARDS at 3 EDGE Miles for 10 XTRAREWARDS. For a firm that buys fuel, that is a rebate with a real redemption rather than a points balance nobody clears. Balances held on migration day never expire. The accelerator is tied to REGISTERED IOCL outlets, so a pump that is not on the list pays the base rate, and that is the one operational detail worth passing to whoever actually holds the card.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Citibank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Turbo points converted flat, and the balance held on migration day never expires
  • The exit is fuel, not a catalogue: redeem at IOCL outlets, or convert into IndianOil XTRAREWARDS
  • 1% fuel-surcharge waiver across 35,000+ IOCL outlets in India
  • Carried for the record: one of only two business SKUs Citi issued in India, and Axis lists it as a product of its own

Watch out

  • WITHDRAWN — Citi India's book was sold to Axis Bank and every card relationship completed migration on 15 July 2024
  • Nothing here is valued, because what this plastic earns is the INDIANOIL AXIS BANK PREMIUM's rewards in its currency — that card is on this board and carries the numbers
  • The fuel accelerator is tied to REGISTERED IOCL outlets; an unregistered pump pays the base rate
  • Points earned after migration expire three years out, and sooner if you go 365 days with no transaction, no redemption and no EDGE REWARDS login
  • Axis says only that the annual fee 'remains the same' and never prints a figure; citibank.co.in, the document that did, no longer resolves

What these points actually fly

Citibank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

You cannot, and it was never a card an individual could apply for. Citi stopped issuing Indian cards on the sale of the business to Axis Bank, and migration of every relationship completed on 15 July 2024. Former holders were moved to the INDIANOIL AXIS BANK PREMIUM Credit Card, which is on this board as a consumer product with its own fee, earn and verdict.

Citibank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
