HSBC RuPay Platinum loses ₹500 cashback — welcome suite lapses

HSBC’s RuPay Platinum welcome suite has lapsed, effective 1 September 2026. The ₹500 cashback for downloading the HSBC India app and spending ₹5,000 in the first 30 days, two months of EazyDiner Prime on activation, and ₹250 cashback for two card-linked UPI transactions of ₹250 or more are all gone for new cardholders. The only remaining welcome offer is the ₹250 Amazon eGift Voucher for an online application completed with Video KYC. The introductory-cashback T&C, EazyDiner T&C, and UPI cashback T&C all had the same deadline of 31 August 2026, and none have been replaced. The product page still advertises the expired offers, and the only survivor is the Amazon voucher offer, which runs until 31 October 2026. The lapse of these offers may affect the attractiveness of the HSBC RuPay Platinum card for new applicants. Our take: if you were considering applying for the HSBC RuPay Platinum card, you will no longer be eligible for the ₹500 cashback, EazyDiner Prime, or UPI cashback offers. You may still be eligible for the ₹250 Amazon eGift Voucher, but you should review the current offers and terms before applying.
