IDFC FIRST Ashva cuts travel multipliers — 40% drop
IDFC FIRST Ashva's app-travel multipliers are cut to 40X hotels and 25X flights, resulting in a drop from ~16% to ~10.7% for hotels and ~10.7% to ~6.7% for flights in rewards value. Rewards are now capped at the credit limit.
IDFC FIRST Bank has cut the travel multipliers on its Ashva credit card. The card now offers 40 RP/₹150 on hotels and 25 RP/₹150 on flights, down from the previous 60 RP/₹150 on hotels and 40 RP/₹150 on flights. This change is effective as of June 18, 2026. The reduced multipliers translate to a drop in rewards value from ~16% to ~10.7% for hotels and ~10.7% to ~6.7% for flights, based on the card’s ₹0.40 app-travel value. Additionally, the Buy-One-Get-One movie perk now requires ₹20,000 of spend in the previous month, and rewards are capped at the credit limit. Our take: if you’re an Ashva cardholder who frequently uses the card for travel bookings, you may want to consider alternative options that offer better rewards value. However, if you still find value in the card’s other benefits, such as the 1% forex markups and 5X/10X base earn, you may choose to keep the card. Monitor your spend and adjust your strategy accordingly to maximize your rewards.
