IDFC FIRST Wealth app-travel bonus falls — 33% to 20%

IDFC FIRST Bank has reduced the app-travel bonus on its FIRST Wealth card from 33% to 20% on hotel bookings and from 13% to 10% on flights. This change was announced in a notice dated June 18, 2026, and it reduces the earn rate on hotels from 38 to 25 RP per ₹100 and on flights from 18 to 15 RP. The bonus reduction applies to all travel bookings made via the IDFC FIRST Bank Mobile App, and it’s an additive bonus, meaning the new rates are 6.25% on hotels and 3.75% on flights, down from 9.5% and 4.5% respectively. The 8,000 bonus-RP monthly cap remains unchanged. Our take: hotels fall from 9.5% to 6.25% and flights from 4.5% to 3.75%, while the 8,000 bonus-RP monthly cap stays put — so the ceiling now takes longer to reach and pays less when you get there. What saves this card is its price: FIRST Wealth is lifetime-free, and 6.25% back on app hotel bookings for ₹0 a year is still worth keeping in the drawer for exactly that booking and nothing else.
