IndusInd bolts a 2% DCC fee across its card range

From 15 June 2026 IndusInd applies a 2% + GST Dynamic Currency Conversion fee across Legend, Nexxt, EazyDiner, Signature, Samman and the Tiger — the charge that hits when a foreign merchant bills you in rupees. Small, avoidable, and worth naming before it surprises you abroad.

IndusInd is adding the fee everyone else already charges. From 15 June 2026 a 2% Dynamic Currency Conversion fee, plus GST, applies whenever you let a foreign merchant bill you in rupees instead of the local currency. It lands across a long list of variants — Platinum, Legend, Nexxt, EazyDiner Platinum, Signature, Samman and, notably, the Tiger.

DCC is the oldest trap at an overseas card machine: the terminal cheerfully offers to charge you “in INR,” quotes a padded exchange rate, and — now — IndusInd stacks another 2% on top. The fix has never changed. Always choose to be billed in the merchant’s local currency. Do that and this fee never touches you.

The reason we flag a small fee at all: the Tiger’s whole travel pitch is zero forex markup. A 2% DCC charge doesn’t break that — it only bites if you pick the wrong option at checkout — but it quietly narrows the gap between “genuinely zero-forex” and “zero-forex if you’re paying attention.”

Our take: nothing to panic about, everything to know before you fly. Tap “pay in local currency” every single time abroad, and IndusInd’s new fee is a non-event. Get lazy at the terminal and it’s a 2% tax on your own inattention.
