What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until YES Bank publishes terms we can cite.

The take

This is not a card the bank stopped pricing. It is a card the bank RENAMED, and then left the old page standing. YES's MITC of 7 August 2026 says it in one line of its own Important Note — "Select was earlier known as YES Prosperity Edge" — and prices Select, Select for NRI and Select issued against FD together at ₹599 to take and ₹599 to renew, against the exact two waiver thresholds the old Prosperity Edge page published: ₹10,000 of spend in 30 days, ₹1 lakh in the anniversary year. The bank's live NRI SELECT page settles it beyond argument. Its fees block, updated on 16 April 2026, reads ₹599 and ₹599 — and the page is assembled out of THIS card's own content, down to a glossary item still filed under the name select_nri_glossary_yes_prosperity_edge_credit_card. Meanwhile the legacy Prosperity Edge NRI page still shows ₹399 from a charges block last touched in October 2022. So the fee here is ₹599, and two other numbers move with it: the interest rate is 2.49% a month (29.88% a year), not the 3.80% the zombie page quotes and not the 3.99% most of the shelf pays — Select for NRI sits in the MITC's FD-and-NRI rate tier — and the card does get domestic lounge access, gated on ₹50,000 of spend in the prior quarter. The earn rates stay off this desk: the only rewards block published under this name still anchors redemptions to InterMiles and Club Vistara, two programmes that were folded into Air India's Maharaja Club, and a rate whose redemption anchor no longer exists is not a number to multiply spend by.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 15 Jun 2026 YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide
  • 15 Jun 2026 YES Bank raises forex on almost every card it sells — SELECT takes 75 basis points in one step issuer-wide
  • 1 Apr 2025 YES lounge gate triples to ₹1 lakh on Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • ₹599 in year one, waived at ₹10,000 of spend in the first 30 days
  • ₹599 to renew, waived at ₹1,00,000 in the anniversary year
  • 2.49% a month — the MITC's NRI-and-FD interest tier, a point and a half under the 3.99% most YES cards pay
  • Domestic lounge access once you spend ₹50,000 in the prior quarter

Watch out

  • The bank still runs the old page: /nri/credit-cards/yes-prosperity-edge-credit-card-nri quotes ₹399 from a charges block last updated on 21-Oct-2022, and it is four years out of date
  • The name on the plastic is SELECT now — apply under the old one and you may be quoted the old page's terms
  • No earn rate is carried here: the rewards block published under this name anchors redemptions to InterMiles and Club Vistara, both since merged into Air India Maharaja Club
  • The MITC and the product page disagree on utility spends — the MITC caps at ₹5,000 a transaction past ₹25,000 a month, the page says 1% past ₹15,000 a month capped ₹3,000 a month
  • Rental transactions cost 1% or ₹199, whichever is higher, and are capped at five in any 30 days
  • Fuel above ₹10,000 and tolls above ₹10,000 each carry 1% + GST
  • Forex is 3.50% + GST since 15-Jun-2026 — it was 2.75% before that revision

What these points actually fly

YES Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹1,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹599 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. YES Bank states what the YES Prosperity Edge (NRI) earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The fine print

7 of 7 MITC rows published

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Forex markup 3.50% + GST w.e.f. 15-Jun-2026 (2.75% before that revision), plus a separate 1% DCC markup on INR-billed foreign transactions — the Select bracket took the sharpest markup rise on the shelf
APR 2.49%/mo (29.88%/yr) on revolving credit, cash advances and overdue amounts — Select for NRI is in the MITC’s NRI-and-FD interest tier, not the 3.99% most of the shelf pays. The bank’s live NRI SELECT page prints the same figure
Late fee Nil while the current outstanding (statement balance plus unbilled) is ₹500 or less; above that, 10% of the statement balance or ₹1,350, whichever is LOWER, per statement
Cash advance 2.5% or ₹650, whichever is higher, w.e.f. 15-Jun-2026 — the floor was ₹500 before that; billed in the next statement and accruing finance charges from the withdrawal date
Add-on card Nil
Overlimit ₹550 + GST flat on any transaction that exceeds the assigned limit; the overlimit facility was reintroduced 1-Jun-2026 and is granted on the bank’s own risk view
Redemption fee ₹100 + GST per redemption request regardless of how many points are redeemed, plus a ₹99 + GST convenience fee on flights booked with points

THE ROW IS FILED UNDER THE CARD’S NEW NAME. The membership-fee grid has no Prosperity Edge line, which reads at first like silence; one page later the MITC’s own Important Note says “Select was earlier known as YES Prosperity Edge”, beside the same kind of line for Elite+ (ex-YES Premia) and ACE (ex-YES Prosperity Rewards Plus). The applicable row is “Select / Select for NRI / Select issued against FD” at ₹599 joining and ₹599 renewal, waived at ₹10,000 of spend within a month of card set-up and ₹1,00,000 in the 12 months before the anniversary — and those two thresholds are exactly what the superseded Prosperity Edge NRI page published, which is what makes the identification a match rather than a guess. Domestic lounge access is gated on ₹50,000 of prior-quarter spend; there is no international lounge feature. ONE CONFLICT LEFT ON THE RECORD: this MITC charges 1% + GST on utility spends past ₹25,000 in the previous calendar month, capped ₹5,000 a transaction, while the bank’s NRI SELECT page says 1% past ₹15,000 a month capped ₹3,000 a month. Neither number is the desk’s to reconcile, so both are written down.

  • 15 Jun 2026
    Fee moderate YES Bank
YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv
Marquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised

The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
