What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until YES Bank publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #541
Why #541 Carried on a published fee and nothing else — YES prices this card in three MITC tables and states no accrual for it anywhere, so there is no return here to rank.
The take
This is the RuPay virtual half of YES's novio pair, and it exists because YES's regulatory filing prices it separately from the plastic one. Both are lifetime free and both sit in the ₹500–₹3,000 fuel band, but the surcharge waiver caps at ₹125 a statement cycle here against ₹250 there — the clearest signal in the document that the bank treats them as two products, and the same tell that split AI Inside, FinBooster and Paisabazaar Paisasave into pairs on this board. Everything else is the same silence. The foreign markup is 3.50% with a 1% dynamic- conversion charge on top, which is the ordinary Indian rate and no reason to carry it abroad — and since a virtual RuPay card is really a QR code in a UPI app, abroad is not the question anyway. There is no lounge access; neither Novio form appears in either of the MITC's lounge tables. And there is no accrual published: no rate, no currency, no product page on yes.bank.in. The temptation here is to borrow — from FinBooster's officially published grid one shelf over, or from SBM's or DCB's novio tables on other licences. Every one of those is a different bank's contract, and copying one would invent the single number a reader would act on. Take it as a free UPI instrument until YES says otherwise.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

You hold this card.

The downgrade
YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Lifetime free — the MITC's NIL/NIL row names it explicitly, under the footnote that says that block is the lifetime-free set
- UPI-linkable RuPay virtual card, so it spends wherever a QR code is accepted
- No re-issuance fee and no cash-advance fee — the MITC exempts every virtual card from both
Watch out
- No accrual rate is claimed here: YES publishes no product page for this card and its MITC never states one
- Fuel-surcharge waiver capped at ₹125 a statement cycle — half the plastic novio's ₹250
- 3.50% foreign markup plus a 1% dynamic-conversion charge, the highest band YES publishes
- No lounge access — neither novio form appears in either of the MITC's lounge tables
- A virtual card is not plastic: there is nothing to present at a counter that wants a physical card
What these points actually fly
YES Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
YES Bank publishes no application page for this card. It appears only in the bank's regulatory MITC, in the lifetime-free block it shares with the other partner-distributed and virtual RuPay cards, so the route in is the novio app that issues the pair.
YES Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Lifetime free — named by its full name, “Novio RuPay virtual”, in the membership-fee grid’s NIL / NIL row and again in the forex table’s 3.50% bracket. Being virtual exempts it from the cash-advance fee outright, and from the re-issuance charge, which the MITC says “is not applicable to all virtual cards”. Utility spends attract 1% + GST past ₹25,000 in the previous calendar month. Absent from the domestic-lounge threshold table.

- 15 Jun 2026YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and ReservMarquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised
The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
