What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until YES Bank publishes terms we can cite.

The take

Klick is YES's UPI card: "designed to meet all your UPI P2M payment needs", lifetime free in both fee columns of the MITC, and RuPay by construction. The bank is precise about what it will not pay you for — since 15 June 2026, no YES Rewardz on rent, wallet loads, fuel, government, marketing and advertising, cash withdrawals, EMI conversions, insurance, education, railways, tolls, ferries or jewellery, and utility points capped at 150 a statement cycle. Every one of those exclusions is published by MCC. What the bank never publishes is the rate those exclusions are exceptions to. There is no rewards module on the product page, no earn line in the MITC, and no Klick row in any YES rate table. So this desk prints the fee, the forex, the exclusions and nothing else. A free card with a known cost and an unknown benefit is a reasonable second card behind a QR code and an impossible one to rank — which is exactly how it is carried here. Forex is 3.50% since 15 June 2026, so it is not the card to take abroad either.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 15 Jun 2026 YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide
  • 15 Jun 2026 YES Bank raises forex on almost every card it sells — SELECT takes 75 basis points in one step issuer-wide
  • 1 Apr 2025 YES lounge gate triples to ₹1 lakh on Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Lifetime free — the MITC prints NIL in both fee columns and the page says the same in words
  • RuPay, built for UPI P2M payments
  • Every zero-earn category is published by merchant category code rather than by adjective

Watch out

  • No earn rate is published by the bank anywhere — the product page has no rewards module and the MITC never states one
  • Utility points cap at 150 a statement cycle
  • Rent, wallet loads, fuel, government, marketing, cash withdrawals and EMI conversions earn nothing; insurance, education, railways, toll, ferry and jewellery joined them on 15-Jun-2026
  • Forex is 3.50% since 15-Jun-2026, plus 1% dynamic currency conversion
  • No lounge access — Klick is absent from the MITC's domestic lounge threshold table
  • Existing YES Bank credit cardholders are not eligible

What these points actually fly

YES Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The fine print

7 of 7 MITC rows published

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Forex markup 3.50% + GST w.e.f. 15-Jun-2026 (2.75% before that revision), plus a separate 1% DCC markup on INR-billed foreign transactions
APR 3.99%/mo (47.88%/yr) on revolving credit, cash advances and overdue amounts — the MITC's “Other Credit Cards” tier
Late fee Nil while the current outstanding (statement balance plus unbilled) is ₹500 or less; above that, 10% of the statement balance or ₹1,350, whichever is LOWER, per statement
Cash advance 2.5% or ₹650, whichever is higher, w.e.f. 15-Jun-2026 — the floor was ₹500 before that; billed in the next statement and accruing finance charges from the withdrawal date
Add-on card Nil
Overlimit ₹550 + GST flat on any transaction that exceeds the assigned limit; the overlimit facility was reintroduced 1-Jun-2026 and is granted on the bank’s own risk view
Redemption fee ₹100 + GST per redemption request regardless of how many points are redeemed, plus a ₹99 + GST convenience fee on flights booked with points

Lifetime free: Klick sits in the membership-fee grid’s NIL joining / NIL annual row. The forex table puts it in the Select / ACE bracket, which took the sharpest markup rise on the shelf on 15-Jun-2026 — 2.75% to 3.50%, three quarters of a point in one revision. Utility spends attract 1% + GST past ₹25,000 in the previous calendar month, capped ₹5,000 a transaction. Absent from the domestic-lounge threshold table.

  • 15 Jun 2026
    Fee moderate YES Bank
YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv
Marquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised

The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
