YES Bank AI Inside

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until YES Bank publishes terms we can cite.
Why we decline to value some cards, and what it takes to change that →
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #477
Why #477 Lifetime free with a zero foreign-currency markup and no dynamic-conversion fee — the strongest forex position of any free card on this board — and YES publishes no reward rate for it at all. Carried on the fee and the forex, not valued on the earn.
The take
AI Inside has one line worth the whole card, and it is in the regulatory document rather than the marketing: "Foreign currency conversion charges and Dynamic currency conversion charges are not applicable to Uni Credit Card, Uni RuPay Virtual, AI Inside, AI Inside RuPay Virtual and NIYO Credit Card." Zero markup and zero dynamic-conversion fee against an Indian norm of 3.5% plus 1%. On ₹2 lakh of foreign spend that is ₹9,000 the card does not take — more than most travel cards' entire annual value — and it costs nothing to hold, because YES files this one in its lifetime-free block. The rest of the small print is unusually favourable too, which is the tell that YES treats this as a premium chassis rather than a giveaway. Cash advances are free: "Cash advance fee is waived for YES Private and AI Inside Credit Card" — a two-card list, and the other name on it is the ₹50,000 flagship. The fuel surcharge waiver runs ₹400 to ₹5,000 and caps at ₹750 a statement cycle, third only to YES Private and Marquee. Utility and fuel penalty fees do not bite until ₹50,000 of category spend in a calendar month, and the toll threshold is ₹75,000 — in each case the premium tier's number, shared with YES Private, Marquee, Reserv and Uni. What is missing is everything about rewards. YES publishes no rate for this card anywhere: no rewards module, no MITC earn line, and no AI Inside row in the utility reward-points capping table that names fourteen other variants. There is also no lounge access — the card is absent from the MITC's domestic lounge threshold table. So take it for what is written down: a free card that is the cheapest way YES sells to spend money abroad, with an unknown benefit on top.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade
YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Zero foreign-currency markup and zero dynamic-conversion fee — the MITC exempts AI Inside by name
- Lifetime free — NIL in both fee columns of the MITC's membership grid
- Cash advance fee waived, a courtesy YES extends to exactly two cards — this one and its ₹50,000 flagship
- Fuel surcharge waived between ₹400 and ₹5,000, up to ₹750 a statement cycle — third-highest on YES's shelf
- Utility and fuel penalty fees only bite above ₹50,000 of category spend a month; tolls above ₹75,000
Watch out
- YES PUBLISHES NO REWARD RATE for this card — no rewards module, no MITC earn line, and no row in the utility-points capping table
- No lounge access — AI Inside is absent from the MITC's domestic lounge threshold table
- Revolving credit costs 3.99% a month, and cash advances still carry that finance charge from day one even though the fee is waived
- Above ₹50,000 of utility spend in a calendar month, a 1% fee applies to those transactions
- The RuPay Virtual edition takes a lower fuel-waiver cap of ₹125 a cycle against this card's ₹750
What these points actually fly
YES Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Lifetime free: the membership-fee grid puts AI Inside in its NIL / NIL row alongside the RuPay virtual cards, with no spend threshold to meet because there is nothing to waive. It then collects two exemptions the rest of the shelf does not get — the cash-advance fee, waived by name beside YES Private, and both foreign-currency charges. Utility spends are charged 1% + GST only past ₹50,000 in the previous calendar month, double the ₹25,000 that applies to “all other cards”. Absent from the domestic-lounge threshold table.

- 15 Jun 2026YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and ReservMarquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised
The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
