What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: ₹1,000 of gift vouchers on paying the fee and spending ₹2,000 within 30 days of issuance
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until RBL Bank publishes terms we can cite.
Why we decline to value some cards, and what it takes to change that →
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #285
Why #285 Carried, not valued. The cab-and-fuel cashback is documented to the rupee and the base earn is documented nowhere, so there is no ordinary-spend rate to rank it on.
The take
TravelEasy is RBL's commute card, and it is unusually specific about the one thing it does: 10% cashback on fuel and 10% on Ola and Uber, each capped at ₹400 a month. Used to the cap that is ₹9,600 a year of cashback for a ₹999 fee — genuinely good, and it needs about ₹4,000 a month of fuel and ₹4,000 a month of cabs to get there. The cashback lands as reward points and is claimed at rblrewards.rbl.bank.in, not as a statement credit. What RBL does not publish is any ordinary-spend rate: the benefit ledger names the welcome voucher, the fee waiver and the two 10% rungs, and stops. So we carry the card, print the cashback to the rupee and refuse to invent a base rate. Spend ₹1 lakh on eligible categories in a year and the fee reverses — which, given that fuel itself is excluded from that ₹1 lakh, is a harder bar than it looks on a card sold on fuel.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade
RBL Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 10% cashback on fuel, capped at ₹400 a month
- 10% cashback on Ola and Uber, capped at ₹400 a month
- ₹1,000 of welcome vouchers on ₹2,000 of spend in 30 days
- Fee reverses on ₹1 lakh of eligible annual spend
- Fuel-surcharge waiver up to ₹100 a month on fills of ₹500–₹4,000
Watch out
- RBL publishes NO ordinary-spend reward rate for this card — we will not print one it has not stated
- Both 10% rungs stop at ₹400 a month: about ₹4,000 of fuel and ₹4,000 of cabs
- The cashback is credited as reward points and must be claimed at rblrewards.rbl.bank.in
- Fuel and auto spends do NOT count toward the ₹1 lakh fee waiver, on a card sold on fuel
- Quasi-cash, railways, rent, education, insurance, utilities, government, wallet, cash and EMI earn nothing
- RBL charges 1% on FIVE transaction types its Schedule of Charges lists separately from the reward exclusions: rent (MCC 6513, on every transaction), fuel and auto above ₹10,000 a transaction (capped at ₹3,000), utility spends above ₹50,000 a month, education paid through third-party apps such as CRED, PhonePe or Paytm (school and college websites are exempt), and — with effect from 7 January 2026 — FASTag loading and tolls above ₹10,000 a transaction. These are FEES, listed nowhere near the reward exclusions: a category can both cost you 1% and earn you nothing
What these points actually fly
RBL Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹1,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹999 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. RBL Bank states what the RBL Platinum TravelEasy earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

- 22 Aug 2026RBL relaunches the Shoppers Stop co-brand as a Gold / Platinum / Black trioAn older single Shoppers Stop co-brand line → Three tiers — Gold (₹1,000), Platinum (₹5,000), Black (₹10,000) annual — earning 10 RP/₹200 (Gold, Platinum) or 15 RP/₹200 (Black) across the Shoppers Stop Universe, with points worth ₹0.25 / ₹0.50 / ₹1.00 respectively
RBL rebuilt its Shoppers Stop co-brand into a three-card ladder. The fee rung buys a richer point, not just more of them: a Reward Point is worth ₹0.25 on Gold, ₹0.50 on Platinum and ₹1.00 on Black, so Black's 15 RP per ₹200 at ₹1 a point is a genuine 7.5% back on First Citizen days inside the Shoppers Stop Universe. Welcome vouchers scale the same way (₹500 quarterly on Gold, ₹2,000 plus Platinum membership and a makeover on Platinum, ₹1,500 quarterly on Black). No lounge access on any of the three — these are store cards and earn like it, with value only inside Shoppers Stop. All three are already on our board.
