What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: No welcome benefit is published — the milestone ladder starts at ₹5 lakh of spend
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹25,000 a month
At ₹25,000 a month — ₹3,00,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹2,000 gross (earn ₹2,000) against its ₹1,999 fee = ₹0 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take
This is the best-value card on PNB's entire shelf and almost nobody can apply for it. The eligibility line is one sentence — "All Indian Army personnel of Officer Rank" — and behind it sits the civilian LUXURA's benefit stack with the entry price deleted. Nil joining fee, where both civilian LUXURA editions charge four and five figures just to get in; ₹1,999 a year after that, itself waived on ₹5 lakh of annual spend. Nil forex markup, which on PNB's bank-wide schedule belongs to the LUXURA family and to nothing else. Unlimited complimentary domestic and international lounge access, with PNB naming a figure for once — "Access to 1800+ lounges globally" — though not the network behind it. The hotel stack is the civilian card's, unchanged: ITC's 2+1 nights, 1+1 spa and 1+1 set-menu dining, a Club Marriott membership, Accor's ALL Gold, a HoteLux Elite Plus membership and 2+1 nights at Postcard Hotels, plus four complimentary golf lessons a year and a monthly buy-one-get-one movie ticket. The catch is the rate. Where both civilian LUXURA cards earn 4 Reward Points per ₹100, this one earns 4 per ₹150 — 0.67% against 1.0% — so the officer edition is cheaper to hold and thinner to spend on, and at PNB's ₹0.25 a point the milestone ladder pays ₹2,000, ₹4,000 and ₹6,000 at ₹5, ₹10 and ₹15 lakh. The CSD canteen line is the one benefit no civilian card can match: 3% back on all CSD spends, capped at ₹3,000 a billing cycle and dead below ₹6,000 of spend. Limits run to ₹5 lakh up to Lt. Colonel and ₹15 lakh at Colonel and above.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
Here is the fee, the spend that clears it, and everything that has moved under this card since you last decided.
Keep, downgrade or cancel

The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹1,999/yr
The waiver ₹5,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹41,667 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹25,000 a month — ₹3,00,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee.
At your spend
₹0 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend
₹6,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

The downgrade
Punjab National Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Nil joining fee — both civilian LUXURA metal cards charge to get in, this one does not
- Nil forex markup, which PNB's own fee schedule grants only to the LUXURA family
- Unlimited complimentary domestic and international lounge access, across a stated 1,800+ lounges globally
- 3% cashback on all CSD canteen spends, capped at ₹3,000 a billing cycle
- ITC 2+1 nights, 1+1 spa and 1+1 signature dining; Club Marriott; ALL Accor Gold; HoteLux Elite Plus; Postcard Hotels 2+1
- Milestones worth ₹2,000, ₹4,000 and ₹6,000 at ₹5 lakh, ₹10 lakh and ₹15 lakh of annual spend
- 4 complimentary domestic golf lessons a year, and a BookMyShow buy-one-get-one up to ₹500 each month
- ₹1,999 annual fee waived on ₹5 lakh of annual spend from the date of activation
Watch out
- Profession-gated by rank: PNB issues it only to Indian Army personnel of Officer Rank, on a salary slip and Army identity card
- The base rate is THINNER than the civilian LUXURA cards — 4 Reward Points per ₹150 here against 4 per ₹100 there
- The add-on card is not free — PNB charges it a four-figure entry fee plus ₹1,999 a year, each with its own ₹5 lakh waiver
- The CSD cashback pays nothing in a billing cycle under ₹6,000 of spend
- PNB states 1,800+ lounges but names no lounge network, so the specific doors are unmapped
- Credit limits are set by rank — ₹5 lakh up to Lt. Colonel, ₹15 lakh at Colonel and above
- The restricted MCC list that carves out the earn is referenced by an asterisk and never printed
- The hotel and network perks are split by variant — the ITC, Marriott, Accor and HoteLux stack sits on the RuPay side
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes PNB Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹5,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹1,999 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Punjab National Bank states what the PNB Premium Metal LUXURA earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver and the milestones — the ₹5,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Only if you are a commissioned officer. PNB's eligibility line is "All Indian Army personnel of Officer Rank", the page is headed "Specially Designed for Indian Army Personnel", and the documents required are "KYC, Latest salary slip and Identity card of Indian Army". Age 21 to 70, bureau score 700 or more. JCO/OR ranks and below are pointed at the lifetime-free Parakram instead. The credit limit is then set by rank: up to ₹5 lakh to Lt. Colonel, up to ₹15 lakh from Colonel upward.
Punjab National Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
