Welcome: Not published — Kotak states no joining gift for this card
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹9,800 gross (earn ₹200 + bonuses ₹9,600) against its ₹0 fee = ₹9,800 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #675
Why #675 Held well below its computed score, and the reason is not the card — it is the door. On the numbers this is the best free card Kotak has ever issued: 2% flat at a full rupee a point, 16 domestic lounge visits a year, a 2% forex markup, ₹9,600 of reward points credited annually for spending nothing at all, and no fee ever. The value model prices all of that and ranks it near the top. What the model cannot see is that Kotak discontinued it for new sourcing, and that even when it was open the gate was a Wealth Management relationship in one of nine cities. A card a reader cannot obtain does not deserve a podium; it deserves an accurate page, which is what this is.
This is the card that breaks the Kotak point. The Revised Cardholder Agreement's rewards table prices the Infinite's reward point at "₹1 per point" — four times the ₹0.25 every other Kotak retail card gets — and the product page confirms it independently by valuing the monthly gift at "800 Reward points worth Rs 800". So `earn.base` bakes in a 4× markup against the house value, the same way IDFC's Gaj and FIRST Private do for their full-rupee app-travel redemptions. The currency's ceiling was widened to ₹1.00 to hold it honestly.
The take
The Kotak Infinite is the most quietly outrageous card on this board. It costs nothing — no joining fee, no annual fee, no add-on fee — and it pays 2 reward points per ₹100 at a full rupee a point, which is a flat 2% on everything, rising to 5% on hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines and every international swipe. Kotak also credits 800 points worth ₹800 every single month whether you spend or not: ₹9,600 a year, unconditional, on a free card. Under that sits four domestic lounge visits every quarter — sixteen a year, the strongest lounge number Kotak publishes below the ₹25,000 Solitaire — two golf rounds a month, and a 2% forex markup against India's 3.5% norm. There is exactly one catch and it is fatal: Kotak has discontinued the card for new sourcing, and it was never public anyway. It rode a Wealth Management relationship, age 21 to 65, nine cities and a ₹10 lakh minimum credit limit. If you hold one, hold it forever. If you do not, this page is a museum piece — read it as the benchmark every other free Indian card is failing to reach.

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Lifetime free — NIL joining, NIL annual, NIL add-on, per Kotak's own fee schedule
- 2% flat on everything at ₹1 a reward point, and 5% on travel and international spend
- 800 reward points worth ₹800 credited every month with no spend condition — ₹9,600 a year
- 4 domestic lounge visits every quarter (16 a year), plus 2 golf rounds a month
- 2% forex markup, against the 3.50% every other Kotak retail card charges
Watch out
- Discontinued for new sourcing — Kotak's own page says the information is "displayed for existing cardholders only"
- Never public: it needed a Kotak Wealth Management relationship, age 21–65, one of nine cities and a ₹10 lakh minimum credit limit
- Kotak's redemption block claims "Every 1 Reward point will give Double (2) Air miles" but names no airline programme, publishes no partner list and no ratio — price this card on the ₹1 catalogue, never on miles
- Rent, fuel, wallet loads and online skill-gaming earn nothing; utilities stop at ₹50,000 a statement cycle
- Lounge access is domestic only — there is no international lounge quota at all
- Fuel surcharge waiver is capped at ₹4,500 an anniversary year, on transactions of ₹400–₹7,500
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Kotak Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot get it. Kotak withdrew the Infinite from new sourcing and now shows the page for existing holders alone; before that it was sourced only against a Kotak Wealth Management relationship, with a published age band of 21 to 65 and availability limited to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh. The live equivalent at the top of the Kotak shelf is the invite-only Solitaire card at ₹25,000, or the publicly applyable White Reserve at ₹12,500 — neither of which is free, and neither of which pays a rupee a point.
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
RCAS fee table verbatim: "Kotak Signature/Infinite | NIL | NIL | NA | NA | NA" — no joining fee, no annual fee, no add-on fee and no waiver condition to meet, because there is nothing to waive. Infinite is also the card Kotak exempts most widely from its special-category transaction fees: the 1% charges on utility spends, education payments, wallet loading, online skill-based gaming and fuel all carry "Not applicable on White Reserve, Kotak Solitaire, Kotak Infinite and Kotak Signature". Branch cash-payment fee and card-replacement fee are waived for Infinite too. Rent is the one special category it does NOT escape — 1% + GST on MCC 6513.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
