What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: A 2 kg sugar voucher — Kotak's own Value Chart prices it at ₹90 — for shopping at Easyday on six different days for ₹200 or more each time within the first three months
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹3,000 a month
At ₹3,000 a month — ₹36,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹200 gross (earn ₹200) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹499 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹30,000 a year = ₹200 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #1078
Why #1078 Withdrawn with the retail chain it was built on — Kotak's live product path 404s, its live Cardholder Agreement names no Easyday row, and Easyday itself passed from Bharti Retail to Future Retail and then out of existence. Carried for the record and ranked below every card a reader can still apply for; the earn is genuine but small, because a Kotak point redeemed in Easyday vouchers is a ten-paise point.
Ten paise a point, and Kotak proves it rather than this desk assuming it: the page's own Easyday Value Chart models ₹36,000 of annual Easyday spend as "Kotak Benefit 3600" reward points and "Your Savings 360" rupees, and ₹60,000 outside as 3,000 points and ₹300. Both lines divide to exactly ₹0.10 per point — the documented floor rung of the Kotak point, the same one League Platinum sits on. The redemption loop is narrower still than Kotak's catalogue: points buy "basic home essentials through Easyday reward vouchers at Easyday stores", a minimum of 500 points and in multiples of 100, and the vouchers expire six months after issue.
The take
Kotak built two cards for Bharti's Easyday convenience stores and said out loud who they were for: "The Easyday Kotak Credit Card has been specifically designed for housewives shopping at Easyday stores." This is the paid tier, and it is the better one for a reason that has nothing to do with the reward table — the earn is identical on both, 10 reward points per ₹100 inside an Easyday store and 5 outside. What ₹499 a year buys is a Mastercard bundle the free Silver does not get: an offers tab, Hertz, and access to Mastercard's Indian airport-lounge programme at a ten-room list running from Plaza Premium in Delhi and Hyderabad to the Clipper Lounges in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Read the small print on that and the enthusiasm cools — Kotak's own page dates the programme "Offer Valid till 31st December 2012" and its terms allow "Only one entry per cardholder". The fee waives at ₹30,000 of retail spend a year, which anyone buying groceries on it clears without trying, so in practice this was a free card with a travel perk attached. What it never was is a card for going anywhere: Kotak's FAQ says flatly "This Card is not internationally valid", and cash could not be drawn at any ATM at all — only over a Kotak branch counter. The reward currency is the honest disappointment. Ten points per ₹100 sounds generous until Kotak's own Value Chart converts it: 3,600 points on ₹36,000 of Easyday spend, worth ₹360. That is 1% at Easyday and 0.5% everywhere else, payable only in Easyday vouchers for "basic home essentials", with a 500-point floor and a six-month expiry.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹499/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹499/yr
The waiver ₹30,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹2,500 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹3,000 a month — ₹36,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.
At your spend
₹1,500 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹3,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹6,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹18,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹30,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 8 Sep 2026 Flying Blue splits award tickets into Light / Standard / Flex — a 25% rise for the same product a program these points reach
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 10 reward points per ₹100 inside Easyday stores and 5 per ₹100 outside — Kotak's own Value Chart values them at ₹0.10 each, so 1% and 0.5%
- ₹499 waives at ₹30,000 of retail spend a year, and there is no joining fee at all
- A ₹25 Easyday voucher for any single bill of ₹2,000 or more at Easyday, and another for any single bill of ₹3,000 or more anywhere else — one of each a month
- A 2 kg sugar voucher for six ₹200-plus Easyday shops on six different days in your first three months
- Hertz and an offers tab the free Silver variant does not get — plus, until its own stated expiry of 31 December 2012, one entry per cardholder to Mastercard's Indian airport-lounge programme
- Two lifetime-free add-on cards with a spend limit you preset on each, and ₹75,000 of lost-card fraud cover against the Silver's ₹25,000
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — Kotak's live product path 404s, its current Revised Cardholder Agreement and Schedule of Charges contain no Easyday row of any kind, and the Easyday chain itself no longer exists
- NOT VALID INTERNATIONALLY. Kotak's FAQ answers "Is this Card valid internationally?" with "This Card is not internationally valid", so the lounge programme reaches only the Indian terminals on its own list
- NO CASH AT ANY ATM — "Cash withdrawal facility is not available through ATM – Kotak or any other VISA ATM"; a branch counter, a draft or a fund transfer, at ₹300 per ₹10,000
- The Mastercard airport programme carried its own expiry on Kotak's page, "Offer Valid till 31st December 2012", and its terms permit only a single entry per cardholder — so no door is mapped for this card
- A bill that wins you an Instant Benefit voucher earns NO reward points, and neither does anything converted to EMI
- Points buy Easyday vouchers and nothing else — no cash, no statement credit, no transfer to any airline or hotel — with a 500-point redemption floor and a six-month voucher expiry
- Interest ran at 3.10% a month with a 45-day interest-free period, and the card could only be issued where an Easyday store existed: "There is no Easyday store in my city / area; can I still apply… No, you cannot apply"
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Kotak Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹30,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹499 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Kotak Mahindra Bank states what the Easyday Kotak Titanium Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹30,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot. The product page 404s on Kotak's live estate, no Easyday row survives in Kotak's current Revised Cardholder Agreement and Schedule of Charges, and the retail chain the card was built around has been wound up.
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
