Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹10,000 a month

At ₹10,000 a month — ₹1,20,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹500 gross (earn ₹500) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹999 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹1,20,000 a year = ₹500 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take

Read the closure first, because it is the only thing about this card that changed in August. On 23 August 2026 Federal Bank's own co-branded-credit-cards page — stamped with that date — listed the Federal Edge programme among the partnerships that "have been discontinued", beside the three Federal-Fi cards that went the same way. Federal's live co-brand shelf is now two products, OneCard and Scapia. On the same day Jupiter's product page was unchanged and fully live: hero, FAQ, and a working apply funnel, with no notice of any kind. The issuer's word governs a shelf, so this card is filed closed and existing holders should read the paragraphs below as a description of what they hold rather than of what they can get. Do not read the entity names as settled either: Federal names the discontinued partner "Europa Neomarketing Pvt Ltd", Jupiter's own T&C names its co-branding partner "Amica Neo Marketing Private Limited", and what ties the two together is the product name, not the company. What it was, and what a holder still has: Jupiter fronts three credit cards, not two, and this is the one nobody counts — a **Visa** card issued by **Federal Bank**, sitting beside the two RuPay cards CSB Bank issues for the same app. Different bank, different network, its own Key Fact Statement — and a genuinely different fee shape from its RuPay siblings, which are lifetime free. What you get for ₹999 is a category switch. Nominate travel, dining or shopping in the app and that category pays **10 Jewels per ₹100** — 2% at Jupiter's own cash rate of five Jewels to the rupee — while everything else pays 2 Jewels per ₹100, or 0.4%. International spend earns the same 0.4% into a 2% markup, which is the polite way of saying the two cancel and you should carry something else abroad. Jewels themselves are the reason to bother: they redeem as cash into your Federal account, as digital gold, and — uniquely for a coin this small — they walk to Air India Maharaja Club at six Jewels a point. The ₹999 disappears at ₹1.2 lakh of eligible spend in the preceding year, which is ₹10,000 a month, so most holders will never pay it. Read the fine print on the category leg before you budget around it: the MITC ties the 15,000-Jewel cycle ceiling to "the type of booster pack purchased", language the marketing page does not repeat.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.

₹1,20,000 annual spend erases that fee
₹10,000/mo is where the waiver, not the earn, saves it

Keep, downgrade or cancel

₹999/yr at stake · 5 spend bands

The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹999/yr

The waiver ₹1,20,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹10,000 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.

Break-even ₹10,000 a month — ₹1,20,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.

At your spend

₹1,200 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹2,400 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹4,800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹14,400 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹24,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade

Federal Bank / Jupiter (Amica Financial Technologies) publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 23 Aug 2026 Federal Bank discontinues the Jupiter Edge and Fi co-brand programmes
  • 1 Oct 2025 Federal puts a quarterly spend gate on lounge access across Signet, Imperio and Celesta issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Nil joining fee; the ₹999 annual fee waives on ₹1.2 lakh of eligible spend in the preceding year
  • 10 Jewels per ₹100 (≈2%) on one self-nominated category — travel, dining or shopping
  • 2% forex markup, well under India's 3.5% norm, and international spend still earns
  • Jewels redeem as cash to your Federal Bank account or as digital gold, at 5 Jewels = ₹1
  • Jewels transfer to Air India Maharaja Club — a real airline door from a neobank coin
  • No cash-advance fee, no overlimit fee, no card-closure fee: Jupiter prints Nil against all three

Watch out

  • DISCONTINUED BY THE ISSUER: Federal Bank's own co-branded page, stamped 23 August 2026, lists the Federal Edge programme among those that "have been discontinued" — while Jupiter's product page was still selling the card that same day
  • Federal names the discontinued partner as "M/s Europa Neomarketing Pvt Ltd"; Jupiter's own T&C names its co-branding partner as "Amica Neo Marketing Private Limited". The product names match; the company names do not, and we have not sourced a rename
  • The category leg is capped at 15,000 Jewels a billing cycle — ₹3,000 a month — and the MITC says the ceiling depends on "the type of booster pack purchased", which the product page never mentions
  • 0.4% on everything outside the nominated category, which is most of what most people spend
  • ATM withdrawals are not enabled on this card at all
  • Miss the minimum amount due and Jewels stop accruing AND the accrued balance locks until you pay
  • Leave the card unused for 365 days and every accrued Jewel is nullified; 90 days in arrears does the same
  • Close the account and unredeemed Jewels are forfeited — Jupiter states this outright
  • Available only inside the Jupiter app; there is no bank branch or web funnel

What these points actually fly

Jupiter Jewels move to Air India Maharaja Points — and that programme prices every award dynamically. There is no published chart to quote, so we quote nothing: an estimate is not a seat.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹1,20,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹999 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. Federal Bank / Jupiter (Amica Financial Technologies) states what the Edge Federal Bank Visa Credit Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,20,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.

You cannot — Federal Bank discontinued the Edge programme on 23 August 2026, and the issuer governs the shelf however live Jupiter's apply funnel still looks. What holders have is a card that was app-only from the start: Jupiter's FAQ still reads "Edge Federal Bank Visa Credit card is available exclusively on the Jupiter app", the bar was deliberately low — "Anyone older than 21 years and with a good credit score can apply" — and the limit came off your bureau score rather than off a Federal Bank relationship, so a holder never needed a Federal account or either CSB card to have got here.

The fine print

6 of 7 MITC rows published

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Forex markup 2% on every international transaction
APR 3.75%/mo (45%/yr) on purchases and on cash advances alike
Late fee 2% of the outstanding amount due, minimum ₹100
Cash advance NA — "Your Edge Federal Card doesn't allow cash withdrawals"
Add-on card Nil joining and Nil annual membership fee for add-on cardholders
Overlimit Nil — "Your Edge-Federal Card doesn't allow overlimit transactions"
Redemption fee not published

THE FEE ROWS DEFINE THEMSELVES, so there is no column to invert: "Joining Fee for primary and add-on cardholders / Fee paid at the time of issuance of the Edge- Federal Card — Nil" and "Annual Membership Fee for primary cardholders / Fee paid to use the Edge- Federal Card for one year — ₹999 (waived off on eligible spends on ₹1.2 lacs in the preceding year)". That is our published-nil rule's renewal-only shape: free to GET, ₹999 to KEEP. Card issuance Nil, card closure Nil, replacement ₹249, auto-debit failure Nil. REWARDS (MITC): "You will automatically receive 2 Jewels on every ₹100 spent on qualified Edge- Federal Card transaction (minimum transaction amount is ₹100)"; "You can earn a maximum of 15,000 Jewels per billing cycle"; "Redemption value of Jewels in cash is as per 5 Jewels = ₹1"; and 10 Jewels per ₹100 on merchants in one self-nominated category, "upto 15,000 Jewels per billing cycle depending on the type of booster pack purchased" — language the marketing page does not repeat, and the one unresolved thing on this card. Jewels redeem as cash to a Federal Bank account or as digital gold. Expiry is "lifetime validity" with four carve-outs: 365 days of non-use, 90 days of unpaid dues, account closure, death. Fuel surcharge 1% or ₹10 whichever is higher, waived on fuel spends up to ₹4,000 a cycle. ISSUER vs BRAND: Federal Bank issues, Jupiter (Amica Financial Technologies) fronts — the same split as the two CSB-issued Edge cards, which are different products on a different network.

Federal Bank discontinues the Jupiter Edge and Fi co-brand programmes
Federal Bank issued co-branded credit cards with Europa Neomarketing (Federal Edge, sold as Jupiter Edge) and Fi Brand (AmpliFi, SimpliFi, MagniFi). → Both programmes discontinued. Federal's co-branded index carries two support mailboxes for existing holders and nothing else.

Federal Bank's co-branded credit-card index, stamped "Last Updated On : 23 Aug 2026", says it plainly: the programmes run with Europa Neomarketing and Fi Brand "have been discontinued". The three Fi siblings were already carried as closed on this board; the Jupiter Edge was the row nobody flipped, and it sat at `availability: open` until today. Recorded as a launch-class event because what changed is the PROGRAMME, not a price — no fee moved and no rate was cut. The card simply stopped being something a reader could get, which is the one fact a shelf must never be wrong about. Note the disagreement rather than resolving it: jupiter.money still sells the card with a live apply funnel, so a reader can currently apply for a product the issuing bank says is discontinued. The issuer's word governs the shelf; the partner's page is recorded in the card's watchOut. Federal's notice does NOT name the CSB-issued Edge cards, so nothing here reaches them.
