What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Jammu & Kashmir Bank publishes terms we can cite.

Mastercard — Sourced, not inferred: the Eminent section links the Mastercard World Card India Golf Program and routes lounge access through the Mastercard India Lounge Program. Neither link appears under any other J&K variant.

Why #386 Carried, not valued. Two domestic lounge visits a QUARTER plus one international a half-year for ₹1,500, at a 1.99% forex markup, is a serious travel package — but J&K publishes no rupee value for its reward point anywhere, so there is no rate this desk can honestly put beside it.

The take

J&K Bank relaunched its whole credit-card range in 2026 — the World Card became Eminent, the Government Card became Platinum Privilege, and Platinum kept its name — and Eminent is the one worth a traveller's attention. **Two complimentary domestic lounge visits every quarter and one international visit every half-year** is eight domestic and two international a year, which is more domestic access than most ₹1,500 cards in the country offer, and the international pair is rare at this price at all. The **1.99% foreign-currency markup** is the other half of the case: materially below India's 3.5% norm, and less than half what the bank's own Platinum charges. The ₹1,500 is charged at the end of each year and disappears at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — ₹25,000 a month. A ₹500 voucher lands on your first eligible transaction, ₹750 more every quarter you clear ₹1,50,000, and ₹1,000 in dining vouchers if the year clears ₹6,00,000. There is a monthly ₹150 food-delivery benefit, a movie buy-one-get-one worth up to ₹500 a month, and Mastercard's World Card golf programme. What we will not tell you is what the points are worth, because J&K will not either. The card accrues one point per ₹100 and three on travel, apparel, dining and electronics; the bank runs a rewards portal; and nowhere in any document does it print a rupee against a point. Judge this card on the lounge quota, the markup and the vouchers, all of which are stated to the rupee, and treat the points as a bonus of unknown size.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Jammu & Kashmir Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 2 complimentary domestic lounge visits per quarter — eight a year — plus 1 international visit per half-year
  • 1.99% foreign-currency markup, well under India's 3.5% norm and under J&K's own Platinum at 3.50%
  • Nil joining fee; the ₹1,500 annual fee is charged at year end and waives at ₹3,00,000 of spend
  • ₹500 welcome voucher on the first eligible transaction, then ₹750 a quarter above ₹1,50,000 of spend
  • ₹1,000 dining voucher when the year clears ₹6,00,000
  • ₹150 back monthly on food delivery above ₹500, and a movie buy-one-get-one worth up to ₹500 a month
  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver on up to ₹10,000 of fuel a month — double the Platinum's ceiling

Watch out

  • J&K publishes NO rupee value for a reward point — not on the product page, not in the schedule, not on its rewards portal — so this desk prints no rate
  • The bank's consolidated schedule of charges, dated Nov 2025 and never reissued, still prices this card's predecessor at ₹1,000; the product page's ₹1,500 supersedes it from 01-05-2026
  • Points expire three years from the day they are earned, and the portal states outright that expired points 'cannot be re-credited'
  • There IS a cash exit, but it is fenced: J&K lets you redeem points as cashback and then requires the cashback to be 'utilized through Bank's reward portal only' — portal credit, not money off your statement
  • Insurance, education, rent, wallet loads, fuel, cash and select transport and toll transactions earn nothing on any variant
  • The quarterly voucher needs ₹1,50,000 in a single quarter — ₹50,000 a month — and does not accumulate
  • Lounge access runs through the Mastercard programme, so a variant issued on another network would not carry it
  • The 2026 rewards, milestone and travel benefits all commenced on staggered dates in 2026; anything you read about this card from before then describes the old World Card

What these points actually fly

Jammu & Kashmir Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹3,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹1,500 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. Jammu & Kashmir Bank states what the J&K Bank Eminent Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver and the milestones — the ₹3,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

A J&K Bank product sold to J&K Bank customers — the bank's credit-card page sits inside its services menu and there is no standalone public funnel. Existing World Credit Card holders were migrated automatically: the bank's own note says all Eminent benefits already apply to the World Card, and "upon expiry of the existing World & Government cards, the card holder will receive the new card plastics". If you hold a World card, you already hold this one.

Jammu & Kashmir Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

FEE MAPPING IS STATED, NOT DEDUCED: "Joining Fee: Zero joining fee. No one-time joining or issuance fee is charged at the time of card onboarding" and "Annual Fee: Annual fee of INR 1,500, charged at the end of each year", waived at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend. TWO PRIMARY SOURCES DISAGREE ON THE AMOUNT AND THE DISAGREEMENT IS DATED: the Nov-2025 Annexure-I consolidated schedule (jkb.bank.in/sites/default/files/2025-11/Annexure-I-Service-Charges-Schedule-Consolidated.pdf) prices this card's predecessor at "World: Rs 1000 + GST" with a ₹2,00,000 waiver, and carries a row M3 "Renewal Fee for all variants except Govt Employees Credit Card: Rs 200 + GST" with no counterpart on the product page. That schedule has not been reissued since the 2026 relaunch; the product page dates its own fee cycle to 01-05-2026, which is past, so the page's ₹1,500 is the live figure. Both documents agree on row M1, "Entrance / Joining Fee … NIL". RELAUNCH: World became Eminent (holders keep World plastic until expiry), Government became Platinum Privilege, Platinum kept its name; rewards and quarterly milestones recalculated from 01-04-2026, travel/lifestyle benefits from 12-03-2026, welcome benefits from 01-04-2026. LOUNGE: 2 domestic visits per QUARTER plus 1 international per HALF-YEAR, routed through the Mastercard India programme; Mastercard World Card India Golf Program also applies. Vouchers, not points: ₹500 welcome on the first eligible transaction, ₹750 a quarter above ₹1,50,000 of spend, ₹1,000 dining voucher above ₹6,00,000 a year, ₹150 monthly on food delivery above ₹500, movie BOGO to ₹500 a month. Fuel surcharge waiver 1% on up to ₹10,000 of fuel a month. REWARD POINTS ACCRUE (1 per ₹100, 3 per ₹100 on online travel, apparel, dining and electronics) AND J&K PUBLISHES NO RUPEE VALUE FOR THEM anywhere, including on the "J&K Bank Rewards Portal" it links — which is why the card file nulls the earn triple. Range-wide reward exclusions: insurance, education, rent, wallet, fuel, cash, select transport and toll.

Launch moderate Jammu & Kashmir Bank
J&K Bank relaunches its card range as Eminent, Platinum and Platinum Privilege
A World Credit Card, a Platinum, a Gold and a Government Employees card, priced by the bank's Nov-2025 consolidated schedule at ₹1,000, ₹300, ₹200 and nil a year → Three revamped variants. Eminent (the renamed World Card) at a nil joining fee and ₹1,500 a year waived at ₹3,00,000 of spend, a 1.99% foreign-currency markup, 2 domestic lounge visits a quarter and 1 international a half-year. Platinum at ₹500 waived at ₹1,00,000, a 3.50% markup, 2 domestic lounge visits a year and a ₹500 voucher above ₹75,000 of quarterly spend. Platinum Privilege (the renamed Government Employees card), lifetime-free on both fees, a 1.99% markup, 4 domestic lounge visits a year and a three-rung quarterly voucher ladder from ₹30,000 of spend

A regional bank quietly built the cheapest low-markup travel pair in the country. J&K Bank's relaunch renames the World Card to Eminent and the Government Employees card to Platinum Privilege, and puts a 1.99% foreign-currency markup on both — well under India's 3.5% norm, and on the Platinum Privilege it costs nothing at all, because that card charges neither a joining nor an annual fee. Eminent's ₹1,500 buys eight domestic lounge visits a year and two international ones, which is more domestic access than most cards at that price. The Platinum is the odd one out and the one to skip: ₹500, the full 3.50% markup, and two lounge visits a YEAR against the Eminent's two a quarter. What the desk cannot price on any of them is the reward point — J&K publishes the accrual (1 point per ₹100, 3 on online travel, apparel, dining and electronics on Eminent) and no rupee value for a point on the product page, in the consolidated schedule or on its own rewards portal, so all three cards are carried and none is valued. Existing World and Government cardholders were migrated where they stood: the benefits already apply, and new plastic follows when the old card expires.
