What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #526
Why #526 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: Canara's corporate expense card — ₹250 once, nothing a year, no lounge, no EMI, and the only card on Canara's shelf with no inactivity fee to dodge. The travel case is the 3% forex markup, half a point under the Indian norm.
The take
This is Canara's expense card for companies that already bank with it, and its whole pitch is that it costs almost nothing to run. ₹250 as a one-time enrolment fee on the main card, no annual fee on it ever, and — alone on Canara's entire shelf — no inactivity fee, so an unused card never quietly bills you. Add-on cards are the part that costs money: ₹400 a year each, and they are also the cards your people actually carry, because Canara issues the corporate card "together with add-on cards" and assigns each one its own limit inside the company's sanction. The travel case is thin but real: 3% on foreign-currency transactions, half a point under India's 3.5% norm, which on a company that flies is the only line here worth anything. There is no lounge access of any kind — Canara's variants table reads "Not Available" for both the domestic and the international row — and no welcome bonus, no milestone ladder and no accelerated category. On rewards Canara argues with itself: the marketing comparison sheet says "Not Applicable" while the MITC names corporate cards inside the accrual clause and the Credit Card Policy explains why both are true — the points accrue, but they are claimed at the corporate level, not by the employee holding the add-on. Budget for 0.5% that the company, not the traveller, gets to spend. What is genuinely missing is the float mechanics every business card sells on. There is no EMI conversion at all: the MITC's EMI clause reads "All Credit Card Holder (except corporate credit cards) can opt for conversion", and the variants sheet repeats it. Cash is capped hard — 50% of the limit to a ₹5,00,000 ceiling, and ₹25,000 a month on an add-on. Interest beyond the 20-to-50-day free period is 2.5% a month, 30% a year, which is the standard unsecured Canara rate and not a business rate at all.

The downgrade
Canara Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- ₹250 one-time enrolment on the main card and no annual fee on it — Canara's MITC tariff sheet prices both rows by name
- No inactivity fee on the main or add-on cards, the only card on Canara's shelf without one
- 3% forex markup, half a point below the 3.5% Indian norm
- Limits up to ₹25 crore for the company, with each add-on card carrying its own ₹10,000–₹5,00,000 sub-limit
- Per-employee statements: the Credit Card Policy commits to individual statements covering each add-on card's transactions
- 1% fuel surcharge reimbursed up to ₹100 a billing month, on fills of ₹400 or more once the card has done ₹2,500 of purchases that month
- ₹2,00,000 lost-card cover, ₹25,000 each of baggage and purchase protection, ₹4,00,000 air-accident cover
Watch out
- No lounge access at all — Canara's variants table reads "Not Available" for both the domestic and the international row
- Add-on cards cost ₹400 a year each, and the add-ons are the cards your employees actually carry
- Canara contradicts itself on rewards: the variants sheet says "Not Applicable" for corporate, the MITC names corporate cards in the accrual clause, and the Policy says the points are claimed at the corporate level rather than by the add-on holder
- No EMI conversion — the MITC clause reads "All Credit Card Holder (except corporate credit cards) can opt for conversion"
- The firm needs ₹10 crore of annual turnover; below that Canara will only sanction a secured card against a lien on the company's fixed deposit
- Cash is capped at 50% of the limit to a ₹5,00,000 ceiling overall, and ₹25,000 a month on an add-on card
- 2.5% a month (30% a year) beyond the free period, plus a ₹250 late-payment fee — the ordinary unsecured Canara rate, not a business one
- No transfer partners exist on canara-reward-points at all; cashback or the canararewardz catalogue is the only exit, and cashback is barred to add-on holders by the MITC
- Canara's own two documents disagree on the monthly credit limit — the product page says ₹2,00,00,000, the variants comparison says ₹25,00,00,000, and the eligibility block says ₹25 crore
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Canara Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Through the company's Canara Bank branch, not online. The card is sanctioned against the firm's financials: minimum annual turnover ₹10 crore for an unsecured limit, and below that a secured corporate card against a lien on the company's own fixed deposit. Canara issues it "together with add-on cards" — at least one, with a company limit from ₹50,000 to ₹25 crore and each add-on set between ₹10,000 and ₹5,00,000.
Canara Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
