Bandhan Bank Flash Credit Card

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Bandhan Bank publishes terms we can cite.
Why we decline to value some cards, and what it takes to change that →
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #391
Why #391 Carried, not valued. Flash is the fifth Bandhan card and it exists only inside the MITC — no product page, no marketing copy, no reward table. The fee is documented to the word; the earn is documented nowhere.
The take
Flash is the Bandhan card the marketing site does not mention. It has no product page, appears in none of the landing-page copy, and exists in exactly one place: as the first of five columns in every fee table of Bandhan's MITC. The footnote that defines it is worth quoting whole — "Flash is a fully digital RuPay Credit Card which is issued only to existing physical Visa or Mastercard cardholders. It shares the same Credit Limit with existing physical card, but have a separate Credit Card Account." So it is a companion, not a card you choose: the digital RuPay half of a Visa or Mastercard you already hold, sharing that card's limit and nothing else. Bandhan is explicit that the two lives are separate — "Renewal of the Flash Credit Card shall be processed independently and will not be linked to the renewal of the physical Credit Card. Flash Credit Card will still continue to function if the related Visa or MasterCard is closed/blocked", and "Customers with Flash Credit Cards need to make separate payments towards their Flash Credit Card". Two bills, one limit. It is also the only genuinely free card on Bandhan's shelf — nil to take out, nil to renew, no waiver condition because there is nothing to waive. It is the exact analogue of Federal's RuPay Wave, and both banks have built the same thing for the same reason: RuPay is the only network India lets you link to UPI. The catches are real. Flash cannot be used at a POS terminal at all, it draws no cash, it is absent from the lounge clause that names the other four, and Bandhan publishes no reward rate for it anywhere. The interest rate is the shelf's worst — 3.5% a month, 42% a year — for existing and new customers alike.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.
Your copy of this card
You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Bandhan Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Nil joining fee and nil renewal fee — the only Bandhan card free on both lines
- Renews independently of your physical card and keeps working even if that card is closed or blocked
- Shares the primary card's credit limit, so there is no second underwriting
- Nil rewards-redemption fee, nil charge-slip fee, nil duplicate-statement fee
- 1% fuel surcharge waiver, capped at a ₹150 cashback per statement cycle on spends of ₹500 to ₹2,500
Watch out
- Bandhan publishes NO reward rate for Flash — the MITC sends you to a product page that does not exist for this card
- Cannot be used at a POS terminal at all: the MITC says so outright, so it is a UPI-and-online card only
- No cash advance, and no add-on or replacement card is offered
- 3.5% a month — 42% a year — for existing AND new-to-bank customers, the worst rate on Bandhan's shelf
- 3.5% foreign-currency markup, against 1.99% on Flare and 1% on Lumina
- Not in the MITC's lounge clause, which names Sparks, Ignite, Flare and Lumina and stops
- Billed and paid separately from the physical card — miss it and the late-payment ladder runs to ₹1,100
- Existing Bandhan Visa or Mastercard cardholders only; there is no standalone application
What these points actually fly
Bandhan Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

the route in — no cutoffs published
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
There is no application. Flash is issued only to customers who already hold a physical Bandhan Visa or Mastercard credit card — the MITC's own footnote is the whole eligibility rule — and Bandhan sells its physical cards exclusively to its own account holders ("For existing Bandhan Bank customers only" on every Apply Now button). Bandhan publishes no income floor, age band or eligibility table for any variant, and this desk will not invent one.
Bandhan Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
THE FIFTH COLUMN. Bandhan's MITC of 13 Jul 2026 prices five variants — Flash | Sparks | Ignite | Flare | Lumina — and Flash has no product page, no /card-details/ URL and no mention in the landing-page copy, so a marketing-site sweep of this issuer misses it entirely. Fee cell verbatim: "Flash# — Joining Fee: Nil / Renewal Fee: Nil", renewal waiver condition "NA". That is the two-line cell shape (as on Sparks and Ignite) with nil on both lines, not the single combined "Joining & Renewal Fee" cell Flare and Lumina carry — the same table uses both shapes, which is the trap on this issuer. Footnote # verbatim: "Flash is a fully digital RuPay Credit Card which is issued only to existing physical Visa or Mastercard cardholders. It shares the same Credit Limit with existing physical card, but have a separate Credit Card Account." Also verbatim: "Renewal of the Flash Credit Card shall be processed independently and will not be linked to the renewal of the physical Credit Card. Flash Credit Card will still continue to function if the related Visa or MasterCard is not renewed and closed"; "Customers with Flash Credit Cards need to make separate payments towards their Flash Credit Card"; and "The Flash Credit Cards cannot be used for POS transactions." Rent payment 1% + GST, uncapped (Flare caps at ₹250 a transaction, Lumina at ₹500). Returned-payment fee ₹350; EMI processing ₹99; charge-slip and duplicate-statement fees Nil; card re-issuance NA. Fuel surcharge waiver 1%, max ₹150 cashback per statement cycle on spends between ₹500 and ₹2,500. NO LOUNGE — the lounge clause enumerates "Sparks, Ignite, Flare and Lumina" and omits Flash. NO REWARD RATE IS PUBLISHED: section 7 describes Delight Points in general and defers per-variant rates to "the Credit Card product page of Bank's website", which for Flash does not exist. The PDF renders every ₹ as a backtick.
