How we got this ₹ figure

₹1.00 is our HOUSE value for a point — what a disciplined traveller actually clears, not the best redemption we have ever seen (₹1.00, the ceiling) and not the worst you can always fall back on (₹0.85, the floor). It is the number every route on this page is priced with.

We hold one dated point for KVB Reward Points — the mark itself. There is no earlier valuation on our record, so this page shows no trend line rather than drawing one. How we value a point →

Which of my cards reach it? — 4 do

4 cards earn KVB Reward Points outright. The figure is the reward rate — what ₹100 of ORDINARY spend earns back at our house ₹/point, before milestones, accelerators and the annual fee. How we compute it →

KVB's own Eternis page states the rate to the decimal — "1 Reward Point (RP) = ₹1." — which is why the ceiling sits at par. The FLOOR is lower on purpose: unlike a statement credit, this point is charged ₹99 per redemption request, cannot be redeemed at all below 2,000 points the first time (250 after), and LAPSES at three years — immediately if the minimum due goes unpaid for 60 days. A reader who redeems in small lots or lets the balance age gets less than ₹1, so the band records the friction rather than pretending it away. Terminal: KVB publishes no transfer partner. Note the rate is published on the Eternis page ALONE — do not carry it onto the Honour or Platinum cards without their own source.
