How we got this ₹ figure

₹1.00 is our HOUSE value for a point — what a disciplined traveller actually clears, not the best redemption we have ever seen (₹1.00, the ceiling) and not the worst you can always fall back on (₹1.00, the floor). It is the number every route on this page is priced with.

We hold one dated point for Citibank Maruti Auto Points — the mark itself. There is no earlier valuation on our record, so this page shows no trend line rather than drawing one. How we value a point →

Maruti Suzuki AutoCard1.0%Citibank

PRICED AT PAR BY THE PROGRAMME ITSELF, verbatim: "Each Auto Point can be redeemed at par (1 Auto Point = 1 Rupee)". The rails, also verbatim: "Redeem your Auto Points towards services or purchases at participating Maruti Suzuki dealerships/select MASS", and against a new car at exchange. The card ran on a chip that "helps you earn and redeem Points instantaneously" at the dealership terminal — years before that was ordinary in India. THE ACCRUAL IS A LADDER, and it is steep where the co-brand wanted spend: 6 Auto Points per ₹100 on Maruti car service, Maruti Genuine Oil and genuine consumables; 1.5 per ₹100 on IndianOil fuel; 1 per ₹100 everywhere else; 500 Auto Points per paid service at a participating dealership; and "up to 5000 Auto Points at the time of exchange of your" car. At par that is 6%, 1.5% and 1%. This line read "3" and "3%" until 2026-08-22 — a transcription slip against the card page's own verbatim "Earn 6 Auto Points for every Rs. 100 spent on Car Service at participating Maruti Suzuki dealerships/select MASS", which is preserved in `citi-maruti-autocard`'s deskNote and is what the card's accelerator is now set from. The ₹1.00 par value never depended on it. A ROW OF ITS OWN for the same reason Talk Points get one: different name, different price (par against the generic point's ₹0.70), one rail. NOT `inr-cashback` — no rupee is credited to the card account; the value existed only inside Maruti's dealer network. No partner programme is named anywhere, so no transfer row.
