Zomato's owner is back in the card business, this time with SBI Card, and the deal is exactly what you would expect from a food-delivery company: 10% off at checkout on Zomato and District and on Blinkit's beauty and electronics aisles, 5% off the rest of Blinkit, all inside one cap of ₹2,000 a month.
Our full review5 good · 6 bad
Add up to 5% cashback at four outside partners — Apollo, ixigo, Uber and Urban Company, ₹1,000 a month between them — a District buy-one-get-one movie ticket every month worth up to ₹200, and six months of Zomato Gold for activating. Everything else earns 1%, and even that stops at ₹500 a month. The fee is ₹499 and goes away at ₹2 lakh of annual spend. For a household that orders in twice a week this is real money; for anyone else it is a 1% card with a ceiling. The travel story is thin — an ixigo discount and nothing more: no lounge, no transfer partner, and SBI's standard 3.5% forex. A cashback card, and a good one if you live on Zomato.

Pays for itself at ₹5,000 a month
At ₹5,000 a month (₹60,000 a year), on everyday spending this card returns ₹600 (rewards ₹600) against its ₹499 fee, so it comes out at ₹100 a year, the lowest spend where it comes out ahead. How we find the break-even
Keep, downgrade or cancel?
Here is the fee, the spend that clears it, and everything that has moved under this card since you last decided.
The waiver: ₹2,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal (about ₹16,667 a month) and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even: ₹5,000 a month (₹60,000 a year) is where its value passes the fee.

Downgrade: SBI Card publishes no card you can step down to, so we name none. That leaves keep or cancel.
Forex markup, interest and late fees: not published here yet. We have not copied this card's schedule of charges into our table; the documents we did read are under Sources.
What counts toward the waivernot published
₹2,00,000 a year is the bar
that waives the ₹499 fee.
Earning points and counting toward that bar are separate rules, and banks write them separately.
Not published. SBI Card has not said which kinds of spend count toward the fee waiver (the ₹2,00,000 bar). We won't guess it from the earn rules or a sister card.

SBI drops Flying Blue from the MILES transfer table — the second 1:1 door to close in two months
Before
SBI Card Travel Credits transferred 1:1 into Air France-KLM Flying Blue, row 4 of the seventeen-airline table in §3 of the MILES rewards T&C (3-Aug-2026 edition). At the ₹1/partner-mile anchor that was a full-value exit, and the cheapest Indian door into Flying Blue's Promo Rewards from India.
After
No Flying Blue route from SBI. The 23-Sep-2026 edition of the MILES rewards T&C lists sixteen airline partners and Air France-KLM is not one of them — neither "France" nor "KLM" appears anywhere in the seven-page document. Every other partner survives at the same ratio: 16 airlines + 8 hotels, 13 of them at 1:1.

SBI drops Etihad Guest from the MILES transfer table — the last SBI door into the programme
Before
SBI Card Travel Credits transferred 1:1 into Etihad Guest, one of eighteen airline partners in §3 of the MILES rewards T&C. At the ₹1/partner-mile anchor that was a full-value exit, and it was the only route left after the two Etihad Guest SBI co-brands were retired.
After
No Etihad route at all. The MILES rewards T&C now lists seventeen airline partners and Etihad is not one of them — the word does not appear anywhere in the seven-page document. Every other SBI partner survives at the same ratio.
We price the card on an everyday mix of spending (30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else), using this card's own rules for each kind of
spend.
Then we add milestone bonuses and take off the fee.
This figure does not count a card's bonus categories (they need you to shop a certain way); our rankings add
each card's best bonus category on a realistic share of spend.
