Lufthansa Miles & More cuts award prices — 12% off

Lufthansa Miles & More has introduced Business Light award tariffs, which are 12% cheaper than the previously cheapest option. This change applies to long-haul award flights on Lufthansa Group metal, with benefits including lounge access, but also drawbacks such as one checked bag instead of two, no free seat selection, and rebooking fees of €500 plus fare difference. The Flex award ticket is no longer fully refundable, with cancellation fees of up to €1,500 on certain routes. The introduction of Business Light award tariffs has reduced the mileage required for certain routes, such as Frankfurt–Delhi business, which now costs 37,786 miles. This change took effect on 27 May 2026. Our take: if you prioritize mileage savings over flexibility, the new Business Light tariffs may be a good option for you, but be aware of the potential rebooking and cancellation fees.
