AU Ananta tops new deck — ₹2,000 fee

AU Small Finance Bank relaunches its card range with Ananta as the top card, offering 16 lounge visits and 50k milestone points for a ₹2,000 fee, but the redemption value remains low at ₹0.25 per point. This translates to a 1.25% reward rate, making it a less attractive option for users.

AU Small Finance Bank has revamped its credit card portfolio, introducing a new four-card lineup led by the Ananta card. The Ananta card comes with a ₹2,000 fee and offers 16 domestic lounge visits per year, an 8,000-point welcome bonus, and up to 50,000 milestone points at ₹10L spend. The Ananta card’s benefits are marketed as premium, but the redemption value of AU Reward Points remains low at ₹0.25 per point. This means that the 5X reward rate advertised translates to a mere 1.25% reward rate, which is relatively low compared to other credit cards in the market. Our take: given the low redemption value and the ₹2,000 fee, the Ananta card may not be the best option for users seeking high rewards value. The lounge visits, while a nice perk, are also gated behind an AU Rewardz flight-booking requirement, which may limit their usefulness. Users may want to consider other credit cards with better reward rates and more flexible redemption options.
