AU doubles lounge spend gate — ₹30,000 more
AU Small Finance Bank increases the required prior-quarter spend for complimentary domestic lounge visits from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000. This change affects cards like AU Zenith and AU Vetta, making it harder for users to access lounges without additional spend.
AU Small Finance Bank has increased the spend gate for domestic lounge access from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 per quarter. This change applies to all AU cards, including Zenith, Vetta, and Xcite, effective from the bank’s 10 April 2026 revision of terms and conditions. The visit allotments remain unchanged, with Zenith cardholders still getting 2 domestic and 2 Priority Pass international lounge visits per quarter, and Vetta cardholders getting 1 domestic and 1 international visit. However, the increased spend requirement makes it more difficult for cardholders to access these benefits without significant spending. Our take: ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 a quarter with the visit allotments left untouched — AU didn’t cut the benefit, it just moved the toll booth. A Zenith holder still gets 2 domestic and 2 Priority Pass visits a quarter, but now needs ₹2 lakh of annual spend to reach any of them. On a card whose points redeem at ₹0.25, that is an expensive way to buy a lounge chair.
