JetPrivilege rewrites partner award chart into 13 global zones
Effective September 28, 2017, JetPrivilege replaced route-specific partner redemption pricing with a 13-zone global award chart — Sydney-Singapore in economy now runs 40,000 JPMiles.
JetPrivilege has torn up its partner award chart. Effective September 28, 2017, route-specific pricing on partner-airline redemptions is gone, replaced by a 13-zone global chart. Sample pricing: Sydney to Singapore in economy now costs 40,000 JPMiles.
If you redeem on Jet’s own metal, nothing changes today. But if partners are how you use JPMiles — and for long-haul flyers they often are — the entire mental map you built is now wrong. Thirteen zones, every route repriced by which boxes it falls into, and the whole chart to re-learn from scratch.
The direction of travel matters more than any single price. This is part of the slow drift since the Etihad tie-up, away from the airline’s old, generous earn-and-burn structure and toward something more corporate and less kind.
Our take: zone charts exist to simplify — for the programme, not for you. Reprice your planned partner redemptions against the 13 zones now, and burn any award that got cheaper before someone notices.
