Jet Airways extends Jetstar Asia codeshare, earns JPMiles
Jet Airways extended its Jetstar Asia codeshare and, retroactive to March 26, 2017, made those Southeast Asia legs earn both JPMiles and Tier Miles when booked under a Jet Airways flight number.
Jet Airways has extended its codeshare with Jetstar Asia, and this time the loyalty plumbing actually works. Jetstar Asia-operated legs booked under a Jet Airways flight number now earn both JPMiles and Tier Miles — retroactive to March 26, 2017.
That retroactive date matters. Until now, these Southeast Asia connections were dead weight for JetPrivilege members: you flew them, you earned nothing, and your elite counter did not move. If you took one of these legs in the past two months, your miles should now post.
The Tier Miles piece is the real win. Redeemable JPMiles are nice, but Tier Miles are what keep Gold and Platinum status alive, and anyone routing through Singapore onto Jetstar Asia metal was previously leaving requalification credit on the table. A modest buff, but a genuine one.
Our take: minor on paper, meaningful if Singapore is your hub — a codeshare that finally pays you in the currency that counts.
