What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until YES Bank publishes terms we can cite.

YES Bank · Not published · entry

Why #540 Carried on a published fee and nothing else. YES prices this card in three of its MITC tables and states no accrual for it anywhere, and there is no product page to read one from, so there is no return here to rank.

The take

novio is a fintech brand that rents bank licences, and this is its fifth: SBM Bank India issues one, DCB Bank issues two against a fixed deposit, RBL issued one and stopped, and YES Bank issues this. RBL's page is the one that says out loud who is behind it — a revenue-sharing arrangement with Credilio.com — and each bank writes its own terms on top. What YES has published about its edition is a fee and three charges. The card is lifetime free: the bank's regulatory filing puts it in the NIL/NIL block under the footnote that says that block IS the lifetime-free set. The foreign markup is 3.50%, exactly the Indian norm and the highest band YES publishes, with a 1% dynamic-conversion charge stacked on top. Fuel gets a surcharge waiver between ₹500 and ₹3,000 a transaction, capped at ₹250 a statement cycle. There is no lounge access — the card is in neither of the MITC's two lounge tables. What YES has not published is what it earns. There is no product page on yes.bank.in, no rate in the MITC, and no currency named. The sibling licences all publish grids and all three grids differ, which is precisely why none of them can be read onto this one. Until YES prints a number, this page will carry the fee and refuse to invent the rest: a free card is a free card, and that is the whole of what the bank will say.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 15 Jun 2026 YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide
  • 15 Jun 2026 YES Bank raises forex on almost every card it sells — SELECT takes 75 basis points in one step issuer-wide
  • 1 Apr 2025 YES lounge gate triples to ₹1 lakh on Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Lifetime free — named in the MITC's NIL/NIL row, under the footnote that says that block is the lifetime-free set
  • 1% fuel-surcharge waiver between ₹500 and ₹3,000 a transaction, capped at ₹250 a statement cycle
  • novio's fifth Indian bank licence — the same app brand, a different contract each time

Watch out

  • YES publishes no accrual for this card: no rate, no currency, no product page — this desk will not guess one from a sibling licence
  • 3.50% foreign markup, the highest band YES publishes, plus a 1% dynamic-conversion charge
  • No lounge access — the card appears in neither of the MITC's lounge tables
  • Distribution is app-side; there is no yes.bank.in page to apply from or to check terms against
  • A separately-priced 'Novio RuPay virtual' exists on the same licence with a different fuel cap — check which one you hold

What these points actually fly

YES Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.

YES Bank publishes no application page for this card. It appears only in the bank's regulatory MITC, inside the lifetime-free block it shares with the other partner-distributed cards, so the route in is the novio app rather than a branch or the bank's own site.

YES Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print

7 of 7 MITC rows published

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Forex markup 3.50% + GST — unchanged across the 15-Jun-2026 revision that moved most of this shelf, plus a separate 1% DCC markup on INR-billed foreign transactions
APR 3.99%/mo (47.88%/yr) on revolving credit, cash advances and overdue amounts — the MITC's “Other Credit Cards” tier
Late fee Nil while the current outstanding (statement balance plus unbilled) is ₹500 or less; above that, 10% of the statement balance or ₹1,350, whichever is LOWER, per statement
Cash advance 2.5% or ₹650, whichever is higher, w.e.f. 15-Jun-2026 — the floor was ₹500 before that; billed in the next statement and accruing finance charges from the withdrawal date
Add-on card Nil
Overlimit ₹550 + GST flat on any transaction that exceeds the assigned limit; the overlimit facility was reintroduced 1-Jun-2026 and is granted on the bank’s own risk view
Redemption fee ₹100 + GST per redemption request regardless of how many points are redeemed, plus a ₹99 + GST convenience fee on flights booked with points

Lifetime free — named in the membership-fee grid’s NIL joining / NIL annual row. Its forex bracket is one of only two the 15-Jun-2026 revision left alone, because at 3.50% it was already at the top of the ladder. Utility spends attract 1% + GST past ₹25,000 in the previous calendar month. Absent from the domestic-lounge threshold table.

    Fee moderate YES Bank
YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv
Marquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised

The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
