Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee

At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take

slice is no longer a fintech renting someone else's banking licence — after the merger with North East Small Finance Bank it IS slice Small Finance Bank, issuing a RuPay credit card that links to UPI directly. The genuine claim is gate 5: slice's own MITC prints ₹0 against both the Forex Markup Fee and the DCC Markup Fee rows, a real 0% marker against India's 3.5% norm, with no joining fee, no annual fee and no card replacement fee either. The reward story sold on the landing page — "up to 3% cashback" — needs the MITC's Annex IX to make sense: monies accrue 1:1 with rupees spent, but the CASH you actually get depends on a redemption slab tied to your accumulated monies balance, not your spend. Under a ₹3,00,000 monies balance — where every new or light-spending cardholder sits — the rate is 1%. The 3% ceiling needs a monies balance over ₹5,00,000 AND a slice savings account holding an average ₹5,00,000+ over the prior 90 days, simultaneously. That is not a spend threshold a travel-card reader clears by using the card; it is a balance-parking condition closer to a savings-account perk than a cashback rate. Realistically this is a 1% cashback, 0% forex card with no lounge and no airline reach — hold it for the free foreign spend, not for the advertised reward rate.

The downgrade

slice Small Finance Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 0% forex and 0% DCC markup — a genuine zero against India's 3.5% norm, confirmed in slice's own MITC fee table
  • ₹0 joining, ₹0 annual, ₹0 card replacement — no ongoing cost to hold
  • 1 monies per ₹1 spent, redeemable to a slice savings account as cash — no redemption fee, no per-request toll
  • Split payments over 2–3 months (slicing) at no processing fee, though sliced transactions earn zero monies

Watch out

  • The marketed 'up to 3% cashback' realistically pays 1% — the 3% slab needs a ₹5,00,000+ monies balance AND a ₹5,00,000+ average slice savings balance held simultaneously
  • No lounge access of any kind
  • Zero monies on fuel, insurance, rent, education, government, online gaming, EMI'd (sliced) transactions, wallet loads and international spends
  • Cashback redeems only to a slice savings account — no transfer partner, no travel redemption, no way to reach an airline or hotel programme
  • Unredeemed monies lapse on voluntary card closure or after 12 months of account inactivity

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes slice monies into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.
