PNB Merchant Credit Card RuPay Platinum

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Punjab National Bank publishes terms we can cite.
Why we decline to value some cards, and what it takes to change that →
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #534
Why #534 Carried and not valued, and the twin of PNB's General Credit Card in every way that matters: named in one internal policy circular, priced in none of the three documents that price everything else PNB issues. It is on the board because a shopkeeper holding a PNB cash-credit line who is offered one deserves to know what has and has not been published.
The take
Punjab National Bank runs two credit cards for people who already borrow from it on a working-capital line. One is the General Credit Card; this is the other, aimed at merchants. Both appear in exactly one public document — the product table inside PNB's Credit Card Business Policy, which lists "PNB Merchant Credit Card RuPay Platinum" with the target customer "Existing CC/OD borrower of the Bank" — and nowhere else. The point worth publishing is how deliberate that silence looks against everything around it. PNB's Most Important Terms and Conditions names and prices twenty-one retail variants, including a Braille card with no product page and a co-brand sold through eight regional rural banks. Its Key Fact Statement prices a corporate card that also has no product page. Its Rewardz table gives every variant an earn rate keyed to the card's first six digits. A merchant card is not an obscure product for a bank of PNB's size, and it is in none of the three. So this desk publishes no fee, no reward rate and no benefit, because PNB publishes none. What a merchant should actually ask at the counter, in this order: the joining and annual charge and what waives them; whether the card earns PNB Reward Points at all and at what rate; whether the shelf-wide 3.50% foreign markup and 2.95%-a-month revolving rate apply; and — the one that matters most on a card tied to a cash-credit account — whether the outstanding sits inside the working-capital limit or beside it. PNB has answered none of those in public.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.
Your copy of this card
You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Punjab National Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Issued on RuPay Platinum plastic, per the row title in PNB's own credit-card policy
- Aimed at merchants who already hold a PNB cash-credit or overdraft line — a banking relationship, not a profession or an income screen
- PNB's credit-card policy files it beside its personal RuPay cards, not among its corporate products
Watch out
- PNB HAS PUBLISHED NO FEE FOR THIS CARD. Its MITC prices twenty-one retail variants and its Key Fact Statement prices the corporate card; neither has a row for this one, so it is carried without a price
- PNB HAS PUBLISHED NO EARN RATE EITHER. The Rewardz table keys every rate to a variant name and card BIN, and there is no row for this card — so it is not ranked, not crowned and not in the calculator
- No product page exists: PNB's card-types menu lists eighteen cards and this is not one of them
- The card is tied to a cash-credit or overdraft relationship, and PNB has not published whether the card's outstanding sits inside that sanctioned limit or beside it — ask before you spend against it
- The RuPay Platinum in the name is a network tier, not a benefit — PNB claims no lounge access for any of its cards in any of its fee documents
- Ask for the fee schedule and the reward rate in writing before accepting, and do not assume the terms of PNB's ordinary RuPay Platinum apply
What these points actually fly
Punjab National Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Invite-only — there is no public application form. The bank calls you.
Through the branch that holds your cash-credit or overdraft account — PNB publishes no application route, and its online card funnel at apply.creditcard.pnb.bank.in does not offer this product. The eligibility line PNB does publish is one phrase: "Existing CC/OD borrower of the Bank."
Punjab National Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
