What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until ICICI Bank publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #559

ICICI Bank · Visa · entry

Visa — ICICI's Corporate & Purchase Card terms define a Card as "an ICICI Bank Visa/MasterCard Corporate Credit Card or any other Corporate Card and/or Purchase Card", and the CTA's reconciliation runs through "the Network" that matches bank data to the travel agency's booking data Mastercard — the same definition clause; ICICI names no single scheme for this account

Why #559 Carried, not ranked. The best-documented lodged travel account in India: free, fifty days of credit, MCC-fenced to travel, and the only one whose late-payment charge is capped rather than floored — 3% of the bill, but never more than ₹20,000.

The take

ICICI's CTA Card is a lodged travel account done thoroughly. The company routes bookings and payments through one account instead of issuing a card per employee, and gets a single consolidated statement "with a credit period of upto 50 days". Liability sits entirely with the company under an agreement that "clearly defines repayment responsibilities and credit limits", and the account is fenced at the network level: "CTA Cards come with MCC level restrictions to ensure that the card is used only for the purpose of travel bookings." The reconciliation is the part worth paying attention to, because ICICI describes the mechanism rather than the benefit: the bank supplies transaction detail to the network, the travel management company supplies booking detail, the network matches the two and hands the result back to the company for its ERP. That is what lets spend be tagged "by employee ID, cost centre, project code or trip reference at the time of booking", which is the difference between a travel spend report and a travel spend statement. Two numbers separate it from its peers. The billing cycle is unusually generous and unusually precise — statement on the 1st, payment due on the 21st, so interest-free credit runs from the 1st to the 20th of the month. And the late-payment charge is CAPPED, not floored: 3% of the total amount due "subject to maximum of ₹20,000", against the ₹1,000 MINIMUM every other ICICI corporate card faces. On a ₹10 lakh travel bill, 3% would be ₹30,000 and ICICI charges ₹20,000. It pays nothing, takes no cash — the MITC's cash withdrawal limit for the Purchase Card and CTA Card reads Nil, and the page says flatly "The card can't be used for cash withdrawal" — and charges the standard 3.5% abroad. What it does carry is travel insurance for the employees whose tickets were booked on it, with a nominee form ICICI publishes for the account by name.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

ICICI Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 10 Sep 2026 ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram issuer-wide
  • 29 Aug 2026 ICICI un-reserves Mumbai's Adani Silver lounge — the whole Annexure-1 board gets in issuer-wide
  • 1 Jul 2026 ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Nil to open and nil a year, on the product page and in the Corporate Cards MITC's own row
  • Up to 50 days of credit: statement on the 1st, payment due on the 21st
  • Late payment is 3% of the total amount due but capped at ₹20,000 — every other ICICI corporate card carries a ₹1,000 minimum instead
  • MCC-level restrictions confine the account to travel bookings
  • Enhanced Data: the network matches bank transaction detail against the travel agency's booking detail and returns it for the company's ERP
  • Spend tagged by employee ID, cost centre, project code or trip reference at the time of booking
  • Travel insurance for the employees whose tickets were booked on the account, with a nominee form ICICI publishes for this account by name
  • Accepted globally at airlines, hotels and travel agencies, for domestic and international travel alike

Watch out

  • Travel only — MCC restrictions block anything that is not an airline, hotel, travel agency or related lodging and transport
  • ICICI publishes no reward rate, currency or rebate for it, and attaches none of its consumer rewards programme
  • No cash: the MITC's cash withdrawal limit for the Purchase Card and CTA Card reads Nil, and the page says the card can't be used for cash withdrawal
  • Forex is 3.5% plus a 1% dynamic currency conversion fee — India's norm
  • No lounge access is published for it, and it opens no door on our map
  • Corporate liability is total: repayment sits with the company under a signed corporate liability agreement, not with any traveller
  • No balance transfer, EMI on call, merchant EMI, add-on card or personal loan on any ICICI corporate or purchase card

What these points actually fly

ICICI Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

ICICI's stated eligibility is qualitative rather than numeric — "issued only to corporates and business entities that have regular travel and lodging requirements, subject to eligibility and documentation" — with no turnover bar published, where HDFC names ten crore for its equivalent.

    Lounge minor ICICI Bank
ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram
The prior edition opened Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge, Vadodara's Premium Lounge, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge, and filed Ahmedabad T2 international as The Lounge opposite Gate 3 → Those four rooms are gone. Bhubaneswar keeps O'Vetra near Gate 8, Dehradun keeps Carnations in the security hold, Vadodara is off the list, and Visakhapatnam's rows are Encalm domestic and international at Bhogapuram. Ahmedabad T2 international is Adani Silver Lounge - International, Gate 08, and it is not asterisked

ICICI re-saved its consolidated domestic lounge list on 10 September 2026 and moved rooms, not quotas. Four doors an Annexure-1 card used to open are off the list: Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge (O'Vetra, airside near Gate 8, stays), Vadodara entirely, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge (Carnations, in the security hold, stays). Visakhapatnam's replacement is two Encalm rooms at Bhogapuram, which this map does not carry yet — the airport is not in our coordinate file, so those doors are recorded here and not drawn. Ahmedabad's T2 international row is no longer The Lounge opposite Gate 3. It is Adani Silver Lounge - International, first floor, Gate 08, and the row has no asterisk, so the whole Annexure-1 board gets it at each card's own quarterly quota rather than the three unlimited cards alone. Noida's three Jewar rows are still on the PDF and still unmapped.

    Lounge major ICICI Bank
ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip
Adani One ICICI Signature, Adani One ICICI Platinum and the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card were exempt from the ₹75,000-per-quarter spend gate on complimentary domestic lounge access — "valid till Jun 30, 2026" → All three now "require spends of ₹ 75,000 to be made in a calendar quarter to unlock airport lounge access in the next calendar quarter, with effect from Jul 01, 2026"

ICICI's MITC, headed "Last updated on Aug 2nd, 2026", carries the expiry date inside the exemption list itself and then restates it as a dated instruction below. No lounge visit is removed — MakeMyTrip keeps 2 domestic a quarter plus 1 international, Adani One Signature 4 a quarter plus 2 Priority Pass, Adani One Platinum 2 a quarter — but all of them now cost ₹3 lakh of routed annual spend on top of the fee, which reprices the ₹750 Adani One Platinum hardest. The ₹75,000 excludes rent, government, education, EMI, fees, interest, DCC and reversals, and the qualifying quarter is offset (26th to 25th), so the spend that unlocks Oct-Dec was made between 26 June and 25 September. Worth flagging for the desk: ICICI's own "Upcoming changes to Credit Card features and charges" page, re-read 28 August 2026, still lists MakeMyTrip among the exempt cards with no expiry, and never names the Adani One pair at all. Two live ICICI documents, two different answers; the MITC is the regulated one and the more recently dated, so it is the one we follow.
