Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹10,000 a month

At ₹10,000 a month — ₹1,20,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹1,200 gross (earn ₹1,200) against its ₹499 fee = ₹700 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #838

DBS Bank India · Not published · entry

Why #838 Ranked at the foot of the board because nobody can hold it much longer: DBS closed issuance in November 2024 and is migrating every remaining holder to a SuperX from 1 August 2026. Carried so the people being migrated can see what they are losing.

₹499 + GST

Fee waiver

DBS caps a Cash Point at ₹0.20 and the ceiling is the floor — the house value is flat because DBS's own published welcome and milestone figures solve to exactly ₹0.20 every time. Cash Points redeem on dbsdelights.in against flights, hotels, shopping, dining and vouchers; they reach no airline or hotel PROGRAMME, at any ratio, so the flight redemption is a discount on a cash fare and never an award seat.

The take

The cheapest rung of a card family DBS has already shut. New issuance stopped in November 2024, and from 1 August 2026 DBS migrates every remaining holder onto a SuperX or SuperX Plus — a card the bank has published a fee for and almost nothing else. What the 5X Rewards SuperCard did was simple and, for ₹499, reasonable: 2 Cash Points per ₹200 as a base, multiplied five times over the whole month whenever you crossed ₹10,000 of spend, which is 1% back at DBS's own ₹0.20 a point. Spend inside DBS Delights and it went to 10X, or 2%. The welcome was 2,000 Cash Points — ₹400 — on a first transaction inside 60 days. What it never had was a travel benefit of any kind: no lounge visit at this rung, no fuel surcharge waiver where the ₹999 sibling got ₹100 a cycle, and a flat 3.5% abroad. The interest band is 42–48% a year, and DBS charges 1% or ₹199 on rent, on utilities past ₹20,000 a cycle and on fuel past ₹15,000 a transaction. Hold it until DBS takes it away, then read the SuperX file — which is, honestly, mostly a list of charges, because that is all DBS has published about the successor.

The downgrade

DBS Bank India publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 5X Cash Points on the whole month's spend once you cross ₹10,000 — 1.0% at DBS's ₹0.20 a point
  • 10X Cash Points on DBS Delights purchases — 2.0%
  • 2,000 Cash Points (₹400) on a first transaction within 60 days
  • Cash Points equivalent to a 20% discount on OTT subscriptions, capped at 1,000 points a year
  • 5% cashback on loan down payments at Bajaj Finance network stores and the EMI marketplace
  • Interest-free cash withdrawal for up to 50 days, at 2.5% or ₹500 whichever is greater

Watch out

  • Discontinued — no new cards since 23 November 2024, and every holder is migrated to a SuperX from 1 August 2026
  • NO lounge access at this rung; the ₹999 sibling one step up gets one domestic visit a quarter
  • No fuel surcharge waiver on this variant — the MITC's ₹100/₹150/₹200 band starts one rung above
  • 3.5% forex, the Indian norm, with no discount at any spend level
  • Cash Points cap at ₹0.20 and reach no airline or hotel programme — Delights is the whole universe
  • 5X bonus is capped at 3,000 additional Cash Points a month (₹600) — that binds around ₹75,000 of eligible spend; past it the board still prices the uncapped 5X
  • 1% or ₹199 on rent, on utilities past ₹20,000 a cycle and on fuel past ₹15,000 a transaction

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes DBS Cash Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

You cannot. Existing holders are being migrated to a SuperX or SuperX Plus from 1 August 2026, with notice by email and SMS.

    Launch moderate DBS Bank India
The Bajaj Finserv DBS SuperCard is discontinued — holders reissued a SuperX or SuperX Plus
Bajaj Finserv DBS Bank SuperCard, a co-brand with Bajaj Finance Limited sold in six variants — 5X Rewards ₹499, 5X Plus Rewards ₹999, 7X Rewards ₹1,499, 7X Plus Rewards ₹1,999, 10X Signature ₹2,999 and 10X Plus Signature ₹4,999, each joining fee matching its annual fee → Discontinued with effect from 1 August 2026. Cardholders are issued a DBS SuperX Credit Card (₹1,499 annual) or DBS SuperX Plus Credit Card (₹2,999 annual) by DBS Bank — both with the joining-fee column marked NA — with communication by email and SMS

DBS and Bajaj Finance have unwound their co-brand, and the notice is buried where almost nobody reads it — a footnote in DBS's consolidated MITC fee table, verbatim: the SuperCard 'will be discontinued with effect from 1st August 2026, and the cardholders will be issued a DBS SuperX Credit Card or DBS SuperX Plus Credit Card by DBS Bank.' Two weeks after that date, dbs.bank.in was still selling the SuperCard with a full six-variant table and an Apply CTA, which is the part a reader can actually get burnt by. What replaces it is thinner on paper: SuperX at ₹1,499 a year and SuperX Plus at ₹2,999, both with the joining-fee column marked NA, both sitting in the 3.5% forex band and the 48%-APR tier — none of the 0% Asia forex or lounge quota that Vantage and Altitude get. DBS has published no SuperX product page at all, so beyond the fee, interest and charge rows in the MITC there is nothing to read before the card lands in your hand.
