DBS discontinues SuperCard — ₹1,499 SuperX issued

DBS Bank India has discontinued the Bajaj Finserv DBS SuperCard, effective 1 August 2026. The card was sold in six variants, with annual fees ranging from ₹499 to ₹4,999. Cardholders are being issued a DBS SuperX Credit Card or DBS SuperX Plus Credit Card, with annual fees of ₹1,499 and ₹2,999, respectively. The new cards have a 3.5% forex mark-up and fall under the 48%-APR tier. Unlike the Vantage and Altitude cards, they do not offer 0% Asia forex or lounge access. DBS has not published a product page for the SuperX cards, providing limited information beyond the fees and charges listed in the consolidated MITC fee table. Our take: cardholders who were using the SuperCard for its rewards or benefits may need to re-evaluate their card usage, as the replacement SuperX cards seem to offer thinner benefits on paper. Since the SuperX cards are already being issued to existing cardholders, there is no action required to apply for the new card. However, cardholders should review the new terms and fees to determine if the card still meets their needs.
