What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: Nothing published — the launch note lists benefits and insurance and names no joining offer
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Corporation Bank publishes a fee schedule we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #1001
Why #1001 A ₹50 lakh air-accident cover, an airport lounge and 0.8% back, launched by a railways minister eight months before the bank was told it was merging. Carried, not valued — the fee never appeared in public. Corporation Bank was merged into Union Bank of India on 1 April 2020.
The take
Corporation Bank launched this card on 16 May 2016 at its head office in Mangaluru, with the Union Railways Minister doing the honours — the kind of ceremony a state-owned bank puts on when it thinks it has built something. Eight months later the government began the consolidation that ended the bank. What it built was genuinely the best insurance stack on any card in this sweep. Air accident cover of ₹50 lakh. Personal accident cover of ₹10 lakh, sitting inside that ₹50 lakh air limit. A credit shield of ₹50,000 against accidental death and permanent disability, with no medical check-up. And purchase protection of up to ₹50,000 on any durable good over ₹1,000, against accidental damage, fire or theft, for sixty days from purchase. There is a catch worth knowing: the accident cover only attaches once the card is activated AND used at least once, and it starts on the first of the month after that transaction — an inactive card is an uninsured one. The travel benefit is real but thin on detail: the launch note says "Lounge facility at major airports" and Corporation Bank never published an airport list, a quota or an operator to go with it, so no door is claimed for it on this site's map. The earn is the shelf's best — one point per ₹125 spent, redeemable at one rupee a point and credited straight to the card account, which works out to a flat 0.8% — but points had to reach a thousand before the Signature holder could redeem anything, and anything under that lapsed at the end of the financial year. The bar was ₹10.50 lakh of net annual income across every category — salaried, professional, self-employed, senior citizen alike, which is unusually flat. Limits ran from ₹10,000 to ₹10 lakh on an EMV chip with OTP. And the price is the one thing Corporation Bank never wrote down anywhere the public could read it. On 1 April 2020 the bank was amalgamated into Union Bank of India.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Corporation Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Air accident insurance of ₹50 lakh — the largest cover on any card in this sweep
- Personal accident insurance of ₹10 lakh, within that ₹50 lakh air limit
- A ₹50,000 credit shield against accidental death and permanent disability, with no medical check-up
- Purchase protection up to ₹50,000 on any durable good over ₹1,000, against accidental damage, fire or theft, for sixty days
- Airport lounge facility at major Indian airports, per the bank's own launch note
- One reward point per ₹125 spent, redeemable at one rupee a point straight into the card account — a flat 0.8%
- An EMV chip card with OTP on transactions, and a credit limit up to ₹10 lakh
- The same ₹10.50 lakh income bar for salaried, professional, self-employed and senior-citizen applicants alike
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — Corporation Bank was amalgamated into Union Bank of India on 1 April 2020 and the card was not carried forward under its own name
- THE FEE WAS NEVER PUBLISHED: four of the bank's own credit-card documents name benefits, insurance, limits and income bars and not one names a charge — the MITC lived at the branch
- THE INSURANCE DOES NOT ATTACH TO AN UNUSED CARD: cover starts on the first of the month after your first transaction, and an inactive card carries none
- Points had to reach one thousand before a Signature holder could redeem, and anything under that lapsed at the end of the financial year
- The bank published no airport list, no visit quota and no lounge operator, so the access cannot be mapped
- Cash withdrawals and balance transfers earned no reward points at all
- Do not confuse this with Corporation Bank's Visa Signature DEBIT card, a different product with its own separate lounge programme
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Corporation Bank Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot. Corporation Bank ceased to exist as a licensed bank on 1 April 2020, when it was amalgamated into Union Bank of India. While it was open you had to be an Indian citizen or a person of Indian origin, aged 70 or under, hold a PAN, hold any type of account with the bank, have a valid mobile number, and show net annual income of ₹10.50 lakh whether salaried, professional, self-employed or a senior citizen.
Corporation Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
