What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Bank of India publishes terms we can cite.

3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #662
Why #662 The only card on this board that opens a RAILWAY lounge every quarter as well as an airport one — and Bank of India buried it four clicks deep behind a bot challenge.
The take
Bank of India's Visa Platinum is the quiet one on this shelf and it does something almost nothing else at ₹500 does: one complimentary domestic airport lounge visit a quarter AND one railway lounge visit a quarter, which is eight doors a year on a card that costs less than a single walk-in at most of them. On top sits a "Time prime" annual membership bundling Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV and YouTube Premium, and the usual Visa offers programme. The fee is one charge written twice — ₹500 to issue, ₹500 a year — so it costs ₹500 a year full stop, with add-ons at ₹300. What it does not have is a priced reward: BOI advertises a doubling of reward points and never publishes the base or the redemption value, so the loyalty column is blank by the issuer's own choice. Buy it for the eight lounge doors and the streaming bundle.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.
Your copy of this card
You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
Bank of India publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- One domestic airport lounge visit every quarter AND one railway lounge visit every quarter — eight doors a year for ₹500
- A "Time prime" annual membership bundling Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV and YouTube Premium
- Accepted worldwide, with cash withdrawal up to ₹15,000 a day at any ATM globally
- Bank of India's foreign-currency conversion charge is 3%, under the 3.5% most Indian issuers charge
Watch out
- No base earn rate and no point value are published, so the reward side cannot be valued, ranked or compared
- No spend-based fee waiver — the ₹500 recurs every year, and add-on cards cost ₹300 each
- BOI publishes no fuel-surcharge waiver; its own schedule charges 1% on fuel transactions
- The lounge benefit is Visa's programme, not a Bank of India contract — the bank's charge schedule says lounge access is "as charged by Card Operators"
- The bank's live site is behind a bot challenge that blocks automated readers, so these terms were verified against the Internet Archive's copy
What these points actually fly
Bank of India has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

The fine print
5 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Row 7 bills this tier and the Visa Gold on ONE shared row: "Issuance & Annual Charges for -Visa Gold /Platinum International Credit Card-Principal — Rs.500.00"; add-on ₹300 (row 8); replacement ₹300 (row 15). One combined charge, which is why the card file sets annualFee 500 and no joiningFee. THE RAILWAY LOUNGE IS THE UNUSUAL PART: the page states "1 Domestic Airport lounge per quarter (capped at 4 in a year)" and "1 railway lounge per quarter" as two separate lines, so both networks are modelled and the counts kept apart. Also a "Time prime" annual membership bundling Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV and YouTube Premium. This tier states NO minimum age, unlike the two RuPay tiers.
