IndiGo doubles co-brand card welcomes for October applications

For BluChip's second anniversary, IndiGo's Axis and IDFC FIRST co-brand cards pay double the welcome BluChips on applications made 1–31 October 2026. It only applies if you pay the joining fee, and the extra BluChips are worth ₹600 to ₹2,500.

IndiGo’s loyalty programme turned two on 1 October 2026, and the airline is running a month-long Blu October Festival to mark it. IndiGo’s press release promises “2X accelerated earnings” at participating partners, “including all IndiGo Cobrand Credit Cards”. It does not say what that means for a card. The card terms come from SaveSage’s reading of IndiGo’s campaign rules and from Paisabazaar’s IDFC FIRST page. Two outlets agree; we could not read an IndiGo or bank document ourselves.

The offer: apply between 1 and 31 October 2026, get the card issued and the joining fee paid by 31 December, and the welcome BluChips are doubled.

CardJoining feeUsual welcomeOctober welcomeExtra, at ₹0.50 a BluChip
IndiGo Axis₹7991,200 BluChips2,400₹600
IndiGo Axis Premium₹5,0005,000 BluChips10,000₹2,500
IndiGo IDFC FIRST Dual₹4,9995,000 BluChips5,000 + a second 5,000 voucher₹2,500

The catch is the fee. Only fee-paying variants qualify. That rules out the FD-backed IDFC card, which charges no joining fee. It may also rule out the IndiGo Axis card while Axis shows its fee as “₹NIL (limited period offer)”: its welcome is paid “on payment of” the fee, so with no fee there is no welcome to double. If you want the 2,400 BluChips, make sure you are being charged ₹799.

The second catch is expiry. Earlier IndiGo co-brand welcome vouchers have expired six months after they were issued, with no extension. An October application credits by early 2027, so plan to use the BluChips on a flight by mid-2027.

Is it worth it? On the Premium card, yes. 10,000 BluChips is ₹5,000 at our mark, the whole joining fee, before lounge visits and the 2 BluChips per ₹100 the card earns. On the ₹799 card, the extra ₹600 is a modest bonus on a modest card. Only apply if you would have taken the card anyway.

We did not find Kotak or SBI’s IndiGo cards in either source, so they are not on this list. If you hold one, check your bank’s offer page before assuming the double applies.
