Kotak Solitaire pays a 30% transfer bonus till September
From 1 July to 30 September 2026, Solitaire Air Miles move to seven programs with a 30% bonus, capped at 15,000 bonus miles. The two routes it excludes — Maharaja Club and Accor — are the only two worth using.
Kotak has put a 30% bonus on Solitaire Air Miles transfers for the whole of Q3 — 1 July to 30 September 2026, capped at 15,000 bonus miles across the campaign. Seven programs qualify: Flying Blue, British Airways Executive Club, Cathay Asia Miles, Etihad Guest, Qatar Privilege Club, United MileagePlus and Marriott Bonvoy.
Now look at what is excluded: Air India Maharaja Club and Accor Live Limitless. Maharaja Club is Solitaire’s only 1:1 route. Accor is the one hotel program whose near-fixed €40 per 2,000 points survives a bad ratio. Every single program in the promo transfers at 2:1 — three at Marriott. Kotak is discounting exactly the routes that were poor value to begin with.
Run the number. At 2:1 with a 30% bonus, one Solitaire Air Mile buys 0.65 partner miles. Anchor partner miles at ₹1 and that is ₹0.65 a point — against the flat ₹1 Solitaire Air Miles already fetch on Kotak Unbox travel. The bonus does not close the gap. It narrows a 50% haircut to a 35% one.
Our take: ignore it. A 30% bonus on a 2:1 route is still a losing trade against your own ₹1 flat redemption, and the 15,000-mile cap means you would need to push 1,00,000 points through to max it out. The only case is a specific award seat you cannot buy any other way — price the seat first, transfer the exact number, and never move a balance on spec.
