HDFC kills 6E Rewards — 2 cards, 1 currency

HDFC Bank has discontinued its 6E Rewards and 6E Rewards XL Credit Cards, effective 1 Nov 2025. The cards are no longer available for new applications, and existing holders have been migrated to a different HDFC card. All product features and associated benefits were discontinued on the cards from 1 Nov 2025. The 6E Rewards programme itself was also sunset on 1 Nov 2025, with unused balances auto-converted to IndiGo BluChip at 1:1. This means that cardholders will no longer be able to earn or redeem 6E Rewards, and will instead have to use their IndiGo BluChip points. Our take: if you were a holder of either the 6E Rewards or 6E Rewards XL Credit Card, you should have already received a replacement card from HDFC Bank. If you haven’t, check your SMS and email for communication from the bank. You can no longer use your 6E Rewards points, but you can use your converted IndiGo BluChip points for IndiGo flights and other rewards.
