Axis Bank has launched the Flipkart Axis Bank Super Elite credit card with a ₹500 fee. The card offers 16 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members and 2 per ₹100 elsewhere, with an additional 12 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart for Plus members, capped at 300 per transaction. The card has no lounge access, with the travel angle focused on discounts for Flipkart Flights and Cleartrip. The ₹500 fee is waived at ₹2 lakh of annual spend, and cardholders receive 500 SuperCoins on activation. Our take: 16 SuperCoins per ₹100 on Flipkart is the only interesting number on this card, and it needs a Plus membership to reach. Everywhere else it pays 2 per ₹100 into a currency you can only spend on Flipkart, with no lounge access and a travel story that amounts to Cleartrip discounts. This is a shopping card with a Flights tab — worth ₹500 to a Flipkart regular, worth nothing to a traveller.
