Punjab National Bank's October 2026 fee table carries a card called simply PNB Cashback, and the fee row is more interesting than most.
Our full review3 good · 4 bad
The joining fee is nil — but PNB charges ₹499 after all if the card sees less than ₹50,000 of spend in its first three billing cycles. The annual fee is ₹499, waived after ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous calendar year. Add-on cards are free. What the card actually pays back is not published. There is no product page, no row in PNB's Key Fact Statement, nothing in its Rewardz earning table and no launch announcement this desk can find. A card named Cashback with no stated cashback rate is not something this site will value on its name, so it is carried and not ranked until PNB prints the rate, the cap and the exclusions. The bank-wide terms apply: 3.50% on foreign currency, 2.95% a month on revolving credit, and the service-charge schedule that moves on 1 November 2026 — cash advances at 2.5% with a ₹400–₹500 minimum and a late fee up to ₹1,200.
What's good
No joining fee if you spend ₹50,000 in the first three billing cycles
₹499 a year, waived after ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous calendar year
Add-on cards free to issue and free to renew
Watch out
The nil joining fee has a clawback: PNB charges ₹499 if the card is used for less than ₹50,000 in its first three billing cycles
PNB HAS NOT PUBLISHED THE CASHBACK RATE. No product page, no Key Fact Statement row, no earning table — so this site carries the card without valuing or ranking it
PNB names no card network for this product in any document
3.50% forex markup — PNB's nil-markup benefit belongs to the LUXURA metal cards alone
Rewards
Punjab National Bank has not published what this card earns. Not zero: nothing stated either way. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described.
Category rules: not published. We have not found where this card earns less.
Fees & charges
₹0 joining, then ₹499/yr, plus GST. Spend ₹2,00,000 in a year and the next renewal fee is waived.
Keep, downgrade or cancel?
There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.
We cannot work out a break-even without both the fee and the earn rate. What we can source is under Sources.

Downgrade: Punjab National Bank publishes no card you can step down to, so we name none. That leaves keep or cancel.

From 1 Nov 2026, 2.5% of the amount, min ₹400 at PNB ATMs and ₹500 at other ATMs and overseas (one schedule for all RuPay/VISA variants); the current schedule's per-variant minimums do not name this card

The interest (APR), late payment fee and over-limit fee are Punjab National Bank's standard, the same on most of its cards: Punjab National Bank's standard charges.
PNB's fee row is the card's only public description: nil joining, but "Joining Fee of Rs 499/- will be charged if spend is less than 50k in three billing" cycles; ₹499 a year, waived after ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous calendar year; add-ons free. No network is named in the row title and no cashback rate, cap or exclusion list is published anywhere — no product page, Key Fact Statement row or earning table. The ladders above are PNB's bank-wide schedules, not lines that name this card.
₹2,00,000 a year is the bar
that waives the ₹499 fee.
Earning points and counting toward that bar are separate rules, and banks write them separately.
Not published. Punjab National Bank has not said which kinds of spend count toward the fee waiver (the ₹2,00,000 bar). We won't guess it from the earn rules or a sister card.

How we work out the yearly value
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. This card is not in our rankings, the
calculator or the best-of lists until Punjab National Bank publishes terms we can cite.
