What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Still costs ₹300 a year at ₹5,00,000 a month
At ₹5,00,000 a month, the top of the ladder we scan, on the everyday mix this card returns ₹0 gross against its ₹299 fee = −₹300 net — still under water, and nothing lower on the ladder does better. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take
Kotak built one thing into this card and then fenced it four ways. The thing is 10% cashback on restaurants and entertainment — bars, pubs, cinemas, playhouses, everything Visa files under those two merchant codes. The fences: it only counts at standalone outlets, never a restaurant inside a hotel, a mall or a department store; it is capped at ₹600 a billing cycle across dining and entertainment together; no single dining or movie transaction above ₹4,000 earns anything at all; and none of it switches on unless you have already put ₹10,000 through the card on OTHER categories in the same cycle. Work it through and the card pays at most ₹7,200 a year, on a fenced slice of spend, and nothing whatsoever outside it — Delight Platinum is absent from Kotak's Reward Points Program, so there is no per-swipe rate underneath the cashback. Against that sits ₹1,999 to take the card out and ₹299 a year to keep it, neither of which waives at any spend. Someone eating out four times a month at ₹1,500 a head clears the cap and comes out well ahead. Anyone else is paying ₹1,999 for a coupon.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
On everyday spend, nothing we model covers this card’s fee — whatever it is worth, it is not worth it for swiping.

Break-even Nothing up to ₹5,00,000 a month covers this card's fee on everyday spend — at that ceiling it is still ₹299 a year under water. This model credits everyday earn and milestones, never the accelerator — on a card that pays mostly in standalone restaurants & entertainment, that category is where any case for keeping it has to come from.

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 10% cashback on standalone restaurants, bars, pubs and cinemas
- 1% fuel surcharge waived on fills between ₹400 and ₹4,000, up to ₹4,500 in an anniversary year — the second-highest fuel cap on Kotak's whole shelf, behind only the Solitaire
- The renewal fee is only ₹299 — one of the cheapest on Kotak's shelf
Watch out
- ₹1,999 to get the card against ₹299 a year to keep it — the entry cost is nearly seven times the renewal
- Cashback caps at ₹600 a billing cycle across dining and entertainment together — ₹7,200 a year
- The 10% only switches on after ₹10,000 of spend on OTHER categories in the same cycle
- No cashback at all on a single dining or movie transaction above ₹4,000
- Only standalone outlets count — a restaurant inside a hotel, mall or department store earns nothing
- Nothing else on the card earns: Delight Platinum is absent from Kotak's Reward Points Program list
- Neither fee waives at any spend — Kotak prints NA in both waiver columns
- Kotak resolves no product page for this card; only its schedule of charges names it
- The fuel surcharge waiver has its own band: nothing below ₹400 and nothing above ₹4,000 a fill, and a separate 1% FEE lands on cumulative fuel spends above ₹25,000 in a statement cycle
- If the merchant has mapped its ID to the wrong MCC, Kotak pays nothing and says so
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Statement cashback (₹) into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Not through any surface the desk could find. The 2026-08-17 census recorded this card as NOT FOUND — absent from Kotak's all-cards grid, from both sitemaps and from the MITC/Key Fact Statement index — yet the bank's own schedule of charges, dated 31 July 2026, prices it and writes its cashback terms in full. A live fee table and no shop front usually means a relationship-led product; here the footnote points at "Privy League Delight Platinum", which suggests the Privy League programme is the door. Treat it as a card you may be offered rather than one you can apply for.
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
