Why #810 The upper rung of Kotak's pre-BluChip IndiGo pair, and the only one of the two that opened a lounge door. Carried because migrated holders are still billed ₹1,500 a year against it, and because it is the direct ancestor of the ₹1,500 IndiGo Kotak card — the fee did not move, so a reader comparing the two is comparing what the same money buys before and after.
The take
This was the good one. For an introductory ₹1,500 the XL handed you a complimentary IndiGo fare worth ₹3,000 towards base fare, eight domestic lounge visits a year at two a quarter, and a 6E Prime add-on bundle worth ₹1,099 — priority check-in, seat choice, a meal and airport assistance. The ticket was not free money: Kotak gated it on three transactions in each of the first three calendar months, and voided it entirely if a promotion had waived your joining fee. Still, ₹3,000 of fare plus a lounge programme against ₹1,500 was the best arithmetic IndiGo co-branding has produced in India. It is finished. Kotak migrated the whole 6E Rewards range onto the new IndiGo Kotak card in October 2025, converted balances to BluChips with an 18% bonus, and 301'd the old URLs on the 14th. Here is why the page is worth reading anyway: the successor at the SAME ₹1,500 is the base IndiGo Kotak card, which carries no lounge access at all — the lounge benefit moved up to the ₹3,000 Premium. Kotak's FAQ says a migrated XL holder keeps all the new card's benefits, so the trade you were handed was a ₹3,000 ticket and eight lounge visits swapped for 2,500 BluChips a year and a lounge door that shut. Price the replacement on its own terms before you renew.

- The published sticker was ₹2,500; Kotak's table read 'Rs. 2500 (1500 as introductory fee)' and the bank now names ₹1,500 as the card's annual fee

- 3.5% forex markup, and interest ran at 3.50% a month (42% annualised)
- Migrated holders land on the base IndiGo Kotak card at the same ₹1,500 — and that card has no lounge access at all

You cannot. Kotak stopped issuing this card and migrated existing holders onto the IndiGo Kotak Credit Card in October 2025; its product URLs began returning redirects on 14 October 2025. Migrated holders were put on a new anniversary cycle and charged a joining fee for October 2025, with 1,500 IndiGo BluChips paid back as compensation on activating the replacement within 30 days.

The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
