Why #809 The entry rung of Kotak's IndiGo co-brand before the BluChip rebuild. Carried because a migrated holder is still being billed ₹700 a year on the grandfathered rate, and because a search for this card should land on what happened to it — not on the ₹1,500 successor's marketing, which is a different price and a different deal.
The take
This was Kotak's entry into IndiGo co-branding, launched under the bank's "Ka-ching" label and renamed twice before it died. The pitch was a free ticket rather than a points engine: a complimentary IndiGo fare worth ₹1,500 towards base fare, unlocked by doing three transactions a month for three months, plus a 6E Prime add-on bundle worth ₹1,099 that bought priority check-in, seat selection, a meal and airport assistance, plus a discounted ₹150-per-passenger convenience fee on IndiGo tickets. It is over. Kotak folded the whole 6E Rewards range into the new IndiGo Kotak card in October 2025, converted every 6E Rewards balance into IndiGo BluChips with an 18% bonus by 3 October, and pointed the old URLs at the replacement. Here is the part that still costs money: Kotak grandfathered the price rather than the product. A migrated ₹700 holder keeps paying ₹700 — but Kotak's own FAQ says the welcome and renewal vouchers of the new card are NOT available to them, so they are on the successor's thin general accrual with none of its 2,500-BluChip bookends. That is the worst seat in the house. If that is you, the question is not whether to keep this card. It is whether to pay ₹1,500 for the real IndiGo Kotak card, or stop paying Kotak anything at all.

- The 6E Rewards programme itself is dead: IndiGo closed redemptions on 31 October 2025 and converted balances to IndiGo BluChips
- No accrual rate is claimed here — the currency this card paid in no longer exists, and this desk does not price it
- Migrated holders keep the ₹700 fee but Kotak's own FAQ withholds the successor's welcome AND renewal vouchers from them — the fee without the bookends
- The welcome ticket was forfeited entirely if the joining fee was waived — Kotak printed that in as many words
- 3.5% forex markup, and interest ran at 3.50% a month (42% annualised)

You cannot. Kotak stopped issuing this card and migrated existing holders onto the IndiGo Kotak Credit Card in October 2025; both of its product URLs began returning redirects on 14 October 2025. Existing holders were put on a new anniversary cycle and charged a joining fee for October 2025, with 700 IndiGo BluChips paid back as compensation on activating the replacement within 30 days.

The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
