Welcome: 10,000 bonus King Miles on joining plus three complimentary Kingfisher First upgrade vouchers, with 5,000 bonus King Miles and a further upgrade voucher on every renewal

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until ICICI Bank publishes terms we can cite.

Why #853 The top rung of the only co-brand India's most extravagant airline ever issued, killed by the airline rather than by the bank. Carried because a search for what happened to the Kingfisher card should land on ICICI's own withdrawal notice and its own fee table, not on a decade of forum memory — and because it is the cleanest example on this board of a card whose loyalty currency died before the plastic expired.

The take

For two years this was the most aggressive airline co-brand in India, and reading ICICI's own page for it now is an education in what a loyalty currency is actually worth. The pitch was Gold-tier King Club membership handed over at signup, 10,000 bonus King Miles, three Kingfisher First upgrade vouchers in the welcome pack and another for every 7,500 King Miles the card earned, an accrual that stepped up twice as annual spend crossed ₹2.25 lakh and ₹5 lakh, triple accrual on Kingfisher tickets bought direct, complimentary golf at over 2,400 courses, MasterCard Clipper and Kingfisher's own airport lounges, travel insurance and a fuel-surcharge waiver at every pump in India. ICICI charged ₹5,000 for the first year and ₹2,500 a year after that, with no waiver on offer at any spend. Then the airline stopped flying. ICICI's notice to cardholders is blunt — the programme "has been discontinued due to discontinuation of Kingfisher Airlines services", valid only to 31 March 2013 — and holders were moved to a plain Platinum MasterCard at no annual fee from 15 April 2013, onto PAYBACK, with the golf card left to expire. Every King Mile on the card went with the airline. This desk publishes no reward rate for it: ICICI's earn table survives in full and is recorded in the sources, but King Club is not a priced currency here and lending the card ICICI's own reward programme would invent an earner that never existed.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

ICICI Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

  • 29 Aug 2026 ICICI un-reserves Mumbai's Adani Silver lounge — the whole Annexure-1 board gets in issuer-wide
  • 1 Jul 2026 ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Gold-tier King Club membership granted outright with the card — the top co-brand tier ICICI ever bundled
  • 10,000 bonus King Miles and three Kingfisher First upgrade vouchers on joining; 5,000 more King Miles and another voucher on each renewal
  • An accrual that stepped up twice — once past ₹2.25 lakh of annual spend, again past ₹5 lakh — and tripled on Kingfisher tickets bought direct
  • Complimentary golf at over 2,400 courses, plus MasterCard Clipper and Kingfisher Airlines airport lounges
  • Fuel-surcharge waiver at every petrol pump in India, not just one oil company's

Watch out

  • WITHDRAWN — ICICI's notice says the co-brand programme was discontinued because Kingfisher Airlines stopped operating, and the card was valid only to 31 March 2013
  • Every benefit ended on 1 April 2013; holders were issued a plain ICICI Bank Platinum MasterCard at no annual fee from 15 April 2013, on PAYBACK instead of King Miles
  • No reward rate is published here — King Club died with the airline and this desk does not price a currency that cannot be redeemed
  • ₹5,000 in year one and ₹2,500 every year after, with no spend-based waiver anywhere in ICICI's schedule
  • The international golf card was allowed to lapse on expiry rather than carried over to the replacement
  • 3.50% forex markup, 2.75% a month on revolved balances (33% a year), and a railway-booking surcharge of 1.80% online or 2.50% elsewhere

What these points actually fly

ICICI Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.

You cannot, and have not been able to since 2013. ICICI Bank discontinued the co-brand programme when Kingfisher Airlines stopped operating; the card was valid to 31 March 2013 and existing holders were migrated to an ICICI Bank Platinum MasterCard at no annual fee from 15 April 2013, keeping the same interest rate and credit limit on a new card number.

ICICI Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

    Lounge minor ICICI Bank
ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram
The prior edition opened Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge, Vadodara's Premium Lounge, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge, and filed Ahmedabad T2 international as The Lounge opposite Gate 3 → Those four rooms are gone. Bhubaneswar keeps O'Vetra near Gate 8, Dehradun keeps Carnations in the security hold, Vadodara is off the list, and Visakhapatnam's rows are Encalm domestic and international at Bhogapuram. Ahmedabad T2 international is Adani Silver Lounge - International, Gate 08, and it is not asterisked

ICICI re-saved its consolidated domestic lounge list on 10 September 2026 and moved rooms, not quotas. Four doors an Annexure-1 card used to open are off the list: Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge (O'Vetra, airside near Gate 8, stays), Vadodara entirely, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge (Carnations, in the security hold, stays). Visakhapatnam's replacement is two Encalm rooms at Bhogapuram, which this map does not carry yet — the airport is not in our coordinate file, so those doors are recorded here and not drawn. Ahmedabad's T2 international row is no longer The Lounge opposite Gate 3. It is Adani Silver Lounge - International, first floor, Gate 08, and the row has no asterisk, so the whole Annexure-1 board gets it at each card's own quarterly quota rather than the three unlimited cards alone. Noida's three Jewar rows are still on the PDF and still unmapped.

    Lounge major ICICI Bank
ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip
Adani One ICICI Signature, Adani One ICICI Platinum and the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card were exempt from the ₹75,000-per-quarter spend gate on complimentary domestic lounge access — "valid till Jun 30, 2026" → All three now "require spends of ₹ 75,000 to be made in a calendar quarter to unlock airport lounge access in the next calendar quarter, with effect from Jul 01, 2026"

ICICI's MITC, headed "Last updated on Aug 2nd, 2026", carries the expiry date inside the exemption list itself and then restates it as a dated instruction below. No lounge visit is removed — MakeMyTrip keeps 2 domestic a quarter plus 1 international, Adani One Signature 4 a quarter plus 2 Priority Pass, Adani One Platinum 2 a quarter — but all of them now cost ₹3 lakh of routed annual spend on top of the fee, which reprices the ₹750 Adani One Platinum hardest. The ₹75,000 excludes rent, government, education, EMI, fees, interest, DCC and reversals, and the qualifying quarter is offset (26th to 25th), so the spend that unlocks Oct-Dec was made between 26 June and 25 September. Worth flagging for the desk: ICICI's own "Upcoming changes to Credit Card features and charges" page, re-read 28 August 2026, still lists MakeMyTrip among the exempt cards with no expiry, and never names the Adani One pair at all. Two live ICICI documents, two different answers; the MITC is the regulated one and the more recently dated, so it is the one we follow.
