What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Dhanlaxmi Bank publishes a fee schedule we can cite.

Dhanlaxmi Bank · Visa · entry

Visa — The only non-RuPay card of Dhanlaxmi's three. The product page's own title and heading read "VISA Namaste Credit Card" and it carries a Verified by VISA link.

Why #396 Carried, not valued. Dhanlaxmi has three credit cards, prints the fees for two of them on the face of the page, and prints nothing at all for this one — so it keeps its page on what the bank does say, and no ₹ figure this desk would have to invent.

The take

Dhanlaxmi Bank sells three credit cards. Two are RuPay, print their fees on the face of the page and carry lounge access. This one is the legacy Visa Platinum, and it is the odd one out on every count — including the one that matters most, which is that **Dhanlaxmi publishes no fee for it at all**. Not on the product page, not in the benefits tile where the siblings print theirs, not in the Service Charges page or the Credit Card Policy PDF. So this file says "not published", the card sits off every ₹ surface on the site, and we go and look again when the bank writes a number down. What the bank does commit to is a single earn line: **5% cashback on supermarkets and departmental stores, "subject to maximum of Rs.50 per month per Card"**. Read that cap properly. ₹50 a month is ₹600 a year and it is reached at ₹1,000 of grocery spend a month, so this is a 5% card for roughly the first ₹250 of a weekly shop and a 0% card for everything after it — and for everything that is not a supermarket, because no base rate is published either. The rest of the page is adjectives: "Platinum privileges across luxury goods, dining, golf & travel", an online concierge, global emergency assistance. It also carries three names. The credit-card hub calls it the Dhan Namaste Credit Card, the page's own title says VISA Namaste Credit Card, and the body copy calls it the Dhanlaxmi Bank Platinum Credit Card. One product, three names, no price — which tells you roughly how much attention the bank is paying it. If you want a Dhanlaxmi card, the RuPay siblings publish their fees and their lounge quotas, and they are the ones to ask about.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

There is no renewal arithmetic to run on this card yet — and a break-even we cannot source is not one we will print.

the whole desk — what changed, the downgrade, and what we cannot price →

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Dhanlaxmi Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 5% cashback at supermarkets and departmental stores
  • Online concierge and global customer assistance for emergencies
  • Visa Platinum, the only non-RuPay card in Dhanlaxmi's range

Watch out

  • Dhanlaxmi publishes NO joining or annual fee for this card anywhere — its two RuPay siblings print theirs on the face of the page, and this one does not
  • The 5% supermarket cashback is capped at ₹50 a month per card — ₹600 a year, reached at ₹1,000 of grocery spend a month
  • No base earn rate is published for any other spend, so everything outside a supermarket earns nothing we can point at
  • No foreign-currency markup is published either, so assume India's 3.5% norm until the bank says otherwise
  • The page carries a Lounge Access link under its T&C downloads whose target this desk could not resolve — no lounge access is claimed here as a result
  • Three names for one product: Dhan Namaste on the hub, VISA Namaste in the page title, Dhanlaxmi Bank Platinum in the body copy
  • Minimum gross annual income of ₹6 lakh, salaried or self-employed

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes Statement cashback (₹) into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Income · self-employed ₹6,00,000+ gross per annum — Dhanlaxmi states one figure for both

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.

Dhanlaxmi publishes exactly one eligibility line for this card — "For Salaried & Self-Employed: Minimum annual gross income of Rs 6 lacs" — which is the highest income bar of its three cards and the only one it states at all. There is an Apply Now button on the page, so this is a direct application rather than an invitation; no account vintage, age band or credit-score floor is published.

THIS ROW IS MOSTLY EMPTY AND THAT IS THE FINDING. Dhanlaxmi publishes NO joining fee, NO annual fee, NO forex markup, NO interest rate and NO reward-point rate for this card. Its two RuPay siblings print their fees on the face of their product pages in a benefits tile — "Nil Joining Fee / Annual Fee (Rs. 800. (waived if annual spend > Rs. 1,00,000 )" on Dhan Samriddhi and "Nil Joining Fee / Annual Fee (Rs. 400. (waived if annual spend >= Rs.0.50L)" on Dhan Vriddhi — and this page's equivalent tile ends at the benefits and never reaches a fee. Neither the Service Charges and Fees route nor the linked Credit Card Policy PDF (dhan.bank.in/pdf/Credit-Card-Policy.pdf) prices it by name. The card file therefore carries annualFee: null under our no-guess rule rather than a zero that would flatter it. THE ONE PUBLISHED EARN: "5% cashback on Supermarkets and Departmental Store purchases (Subject to maximum of Rs.50 per month per Card)" — ₹600 a year, reached at ₹1,000 of grocery spend a month. Other benefits: "Platinum privileges across luxury goods, dining, golf & travel", an online concierge, global customer assistance. THREE NAMES FOR ONE PRODUCT: the credit-card hub says "Dhan Namaste Credit Card / VISA Platinum Credit Card", the page title and H1 say "VISA Namaste Credit Card", and the body copy says "the Dhanlaxmi Bank Platinum Credit Card". DOMAIN TRAP: dhanbank.com redirects to dhan.bank.in with an EXPIRED TLS certificate (curl needs -k), and the old dhanbank.com/credit-card/ URLs soft-404 to the homepage with HTTP 200, so link-rot checks will not flag them. UNRESOLVED: the page's T&C strip carries a "Lounge Access" link whose target did not resolve this pass — it decides whether this card has a travel benefit at all, and the MITC at dhan.bank.in/pdf/Most_Imp_Terms_Conditions.pdf (linked from the Samriddhi page, not this one) would settle all three Dhanlaxmi cards at once.
