What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: 1,000 points for spends above ₹10,000 within 90 days of issuance — ₹50 at the bank's own redemption rate.
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹5,000 a month
At ₹5,000 a month — ₹60,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹400 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹50,000 a year = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #429
Why #429 Two lounge visits a year, one every six months, for a ₹400 fee that disappears above ₹50,000 of spend. Half the quota of its own sibling for half the fee, and the same 0.1% point — the cheaper Dhanlaxmi card is the worse deal per visit.
Five paise a point, printed on the product page as "Redemption of reward points @ Rs.0.05/point". Same programme as Dhan Samriddhi: internet-banking redemption only, a gift catalogue at ₹75 a redemption or a free cash credit against your own bill, a two-year point validity and a purge on closure. No airline, no hotel, no transfer partner.
The take
This is the smaller of Dhanlaxmi's two RuPay cards and it is smaller in the one place that matters: one domestic lounge visit per HALF year, against Samriddhi's one per quarter, and no international access at all. You pay ₹400 instead of ₹800 for a quarter of the entitlement, which makes the cheaper card the worse buy on the only metric either of them competes on. If you can clear ₹1,00,000 of annual spend, take the sibling; both fees vanish at their own thresholds, and at zero cost you should take the bigger quota. Everything else is identical and none of it is a reason to hold the card. Two points per ₹100 at five paise is 0.1%, the points reach no airline and no hotel, they expire in two years and are purged the day you close the account. The 5% grocery cashback tops out at ₹50 a billing cycle — ₹600 a year — and the terms say plainly that a spend paid in cashback earns no points, so the two legs never stack. Forex is 3.5%, the Indian norm. Where it does make sense: a Dhanlaxmi customer who spends ₹50,000 a year on the card and flies twice. The fee is then genuinely nil and two lounge visits for nothing is two lounge visits for nothing. Nobody should pay ₹400 for it.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹400/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹400/yr
The waiver ₹50,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹4,167 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹5,000 a month — ₹60,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.
At your spend
₹300 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹600 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹1,200 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹3,600 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹6,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

The downgrade
Dhanlaxmi Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 2 domestic lounge visits a year (1 every half-year) on a ₹400 card
- Fee waived above ₹50,000 of annual spend — the lowest waiver bar Dhanlaxmi sets
- ₹0 to get: the page prints "Nil / Joining Fee" beside the ₹400 annual
- Credit-card-on-UPI, so the RuPay rails reach every QR code in India
- 1,000-point welcome bonus for ₹10,000 of spend inside 90 days
Watch out
- A quarter of Dhan Samriddhi's lounge quota for half the fee — and NO international access
- 0.1% base — 2 points per ₹100 at ₹0.05 apiece, the weakest earn on this board
- Dhanlaxmi Reward Points reach NO airline and NO hotel; they buy gifts or credit your own bill
- Points expire after 2 years and are purged the day you close the card (T&C §30.9.9 and §30.9.4)
- The 5% grocery cashback is capped at ₹50 a billing cycle — ₹600 a year — and spends paid in cashback earn no points
- This card's own page links NO MITC PDF: the T&C list is plain text where the sibling's is hyperlinked
- The lounge operator is never named — no list, no programme, no network on the bank's own page
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Dhanlaxmi Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹50,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹400 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Dhanlaxmi Bank states what the Dhanlaxmi Bank RuPay Dhan Vriddhi earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹50,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.
