What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Citibank publishes terms we can cite.

Citibank · Not published · super-premium

Why #900 The top of Citi India's range before Prestige, and the only pre-migration Citi card whose masthead led with a lounge. Carried unpriced because Citi published no fee and no rate for it anywhere — which is itself the most interesting fact about how it was sold.

The take

The Ultima sat at the top of Citi India's ladder and it was sold the way super-premium cards were sold before anybody thought to publish a rate: on three lines of benefit and a callback form. Across every capture that survives — one from 2009 and two from Citi's later template — the page names complimentary access to VIP international airport lounges, complimentary rounds of golf hosted through the year, a round-the-clock dedicated concierge, and a personal air accident cover of ₹1 crore. There is no fee block on the page and no rewards section either, which is unusual enough to be the story: every other card in the range prints both in the same accordion on the same template, and this one prints neither. So what this desk can tell you is what Citi chose to say, and what it chose to say is that the card opened a lounge door and answered the phone. The lounge entitlement is real and is the only complimentary one anywhere in Citi India's pre-migration range apart from the Diners Club card — but the rooms are not in our map, Citi named no operator and no airport, and no cardAccess row was written. It is long withdrawn; Citi Prestige is the super-premium card that made it to the Axis handover.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Citibank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Complimentary access to VIP international airport lounges worldwide — a real entitlement, not a discounted membership like the Platinum's
  • Complimentary rounds of golf hosted through the year
  • A dedicated concierge, round the clock, on Citi's own line
  • Personal air accident insurance of up to ₹1 crore

Watch out

  • WITHDRAWN — gone from Citi India's range before the Axis Bank handover, and not one of the nine products on Axis's Forward Together site
  • CITI PUBLISHED NO FEE FOR THIS CARD ANYWHERE: every surviving capture of the product page carries a benefit list and a callback form and no fee block at all, so it is carried unpriced
  • CITI ALSO PUBLISHED NO REWARDS PROGRAMME: no rate, no catalogue, no conversion on any capture, so there is nothing to value
  • THE LOUNGE DOORS ARE NOT IN OUR MAP: Citi named neither the operator nor a single airport, so no cardAccess row was written and this card opens nothing on /lounges
  • The golf benefit was hosted rather than open — Citi published no course list and no round count

What these points actually fly

Citibank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.

You cannot. The card was withdrawn from Citi India's range before the bank sold its Indian consumer business to Axis Bank, and citibank.co.in no longer resolves. Citi's page never carried an apply button for it — only a callback form — and its successor at the top of the range, Citi Prestige, is on this board.

Citibank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
