KrisFlyer quietly cuts its own dynamic 'Access' award rates
Five months after launching dynamic 'Access' pricing, KrisFlyer devalues it too: up to 10.9% worse in economy and premium economy, 3.9% in business and first, with zero warning.
KrisFlyer introduced dynamic “Access” award pricing in November 2025, alongside a broader Saver-chart devaluation. Barely five months later, on 28 March 2026, it moved the goalposts again — this time devaluing the dynamic tier itself.
The damage: Access rates cut by up to 10.9% in economy and premium economy, and 3.9% in business and first. Dynamic pricing was supposed to be the flexible escape valve when Saver space dried up. Now the escape valve costs more too.
For Indian cardholders this matters directly. KrisFlyer is where a lot of HDFC Infinia, Axis Atlas and ICICI points end up, and this is the second haircut on the same currency in under half a year. As usual, it arrived with zero warning.
Our take: two devaluations in five months is a pattern, not an adjustment. Transfer to KrisFlyer when you have a specific redemption in hand — banking speculative balances there is how you get caught by cut number three.
