KrisFlyer hikes Saver award chart ~10% across the board

Singapore Airlines raised every KrisFlyer Saver award by roughly 10%, on its own metal and on partners, with Australia routes hit harder — some Australia–Europe business awards jumped from 232,000 to 261,000 miles.

Singapore Airlines has repriced the entire KrisFlyer Saver award chart upward by roughly 10% — every Saver award, on SQ metal and on partner airlines, costs more overnight. Australia routes took the sharpest hit: some Australia–Europe business-class runs jumped from 232,000 to 261,000 miles.

This is the classic no-notice devaluation. There was no grace window to lock in pre-hike pricing; if your miles were parked in KrisFlyer rather than booked, they bought 10% less travel this morning than yesterday.

The pain lands squarely on Indian transferees. Amex and HDFC Membership Rewards holders who moved points into KrisFlyer and sat on them for an aspirational Suites redemption just watched the target move — the math on that redemption is now a lot uglier.

Our take: this is why we say transfer when you’re ready to book, never before. Miles sitting in an airline program are a liability the airline can reprice at will — and KrisFlyer just did.
